The Paizo Free RPG Day offerings have been posted to freerpgday.com including the Starfinder module "Skitter Shot", but I can find no information about this on paizo.com yet.
Is this planned to be a SFS legal module with chronicle sheets, akin to PFS's "We Be Goblins" series? In past years we ran several tables of the "We Be Goblins" series at our local game stores for Free RPG Day, last year PFS even encouraged this with a special replay boon.
Tables at our local game stores are at a premium for Free RPG Day and other groups are already making their plans, so what should we plan for?

Now, if only the race became available as part of the chronicle :)
Nah, it's going to be like PFS Goblins. All the game day mods designed to recruit new players with a fun to play race will let you play Skittermanders only to disappoint you when you join the Society and find out you can't play one unless you were one of the lucky few to get a boon from a special event that already happened so you can't participate but might be able to get someone to sell you one for an arm and a leg online.

Interesting interpretation... I would respectfully disagree, but time will tell.

My first society GM experience was We Be Goblins last year. Honestly, I originally joined PFS only to GM for Free RPG Day because that'd guarantee I'd get a copy of Starfinder First Contact. The Goblins were fun, but I wasn't disappointed to learn I couldn't play them.
Also, SFS has been so incredibly liberal with race boons I doubt many players will be disappointed.
How do GMs get the scenarios for a RPG Day in advance? Through the stores?
The stores are not suppose to give early access, though I suppose they could if you're on good terms with them. Start by talking to them about running a demo table, and talk about ensuring the players at your demo table will be able to get a copy (since the pregens the players will use are within).
Personally I intend to get to the store early to have a chance to read through the scenario once. If its anything like We Be Goblins, its about a 2 hour scenario that you can run with very little prep.
Though it would be good to have a heads-up on which maps it uses.

That is not a lot of time to prepare.
I ran a table of PFS 8-99B last weekend getting the scenario when the slot started, because we needed an extra GM. It worked out fine and the players said they had a good time. Granted, I’d previously prepared to run 8-99A, but ended up playing it twice instead. Moral of the story is sometimes prep time is overrated.

Your Mileage May Vary.
I typically need a month before a scenario to 'prep' it well (including playing if possible in a 'Slot 0'), and when I don't have that much time to prep around the job my GM performance degrades dramatically.
I do NOT run 'cold' as a result.
Burnt that shirt years ago and have no desire to acquire a new one.

Thanks! I should have been more specific - i was asking if there were maps inside the module that they use else where, like a flip mat.
As for locations, there are at least 3 where we will be running Free RPG day in Georgia, and maybe more. It will be the most simultaneously running venues that we have had in a long time...

While I'm sure that the SFS chronicle sheet has already been designed, on the off chance that there's room for a suggestion....
With Skittermanders being the new 'chase' boon, it might be a nice thing to follow the example of a specific PFS scenario:
Please?

We aren't offering it locally on Free RPG Day as each year we hit the same obstacles of getting the scenario moments before (10 mins to an hour) we end up running it, or worse, it not arriving on time.
Whilst I appreciate the complexities and politics involved, a way of being able to access the scenarios ahead of the Free RPG Day would certainly be of enormous benefit to the wider internaitonal audience.

That's a very good point. I avoid running cold whenever possible. Fortunately for me, I'm playing at at Paizocon, which should make 'speed prepping' much easier on Free RPG Day.

The product page is up, so the cover art is now available under community use for anyone wanting to do promotional flyers.

Ok, so we are running the Free RPG Day content in at least 3 different locations in the Atlanta Area. I just went and tried to schedule Skitter Shot and We Be Supergoblins! on our event, and I could not find either of these modules. Could we please get them added to the scheduling system so that we can schedule them?

Also, Skitter Shot is getting run at PaizoCon in less than a week, and Free RPG Day is now less than a month away.
It'd be great to have a list of maps we'll need and chronicle sheets, even better a separate PDF with the pregen skittermanders so we can print/laminate them ahead of time.

In the past I've been told that stores are allowed to distribute material for Free RPG Day early, but only to those that have agreed to GM the material on that day.
This is always my experience
FRPGD site posted that all packages are in the post, due to arrive at their respective destinations within the next 10 daysStores use their discretion as to when to allow GM's to have the materials to prep (Per the user agreement with FRPGD)
All of this is on the FRPGD website and easily accessed.
Paizo has always kept info about the modules and contents close to the chest. Sometimes there is a blog with a little hint of the mission.
the Boon sheets have reliably come out at Midnight the Thursday/Friday prior to the event so GM's can finalize the event reporting and prep sheets.

All Free RPG day modules so far have had custom maps.

And that appears correct for this scenario, as well.

It'd be awesome if Paizo could provide a PDF containing at minimum the custom maps and pregens.
That way we can print them to run demos on Free RPG Day without unnecessary heroics (arrive at store at opening, run to kinkos to make last minute copies, return before running the first demo).
Having full sized color maps also makes for a better player experience, vs GMs scrambling to draw them on a blank grid.

So... it was available for PaizoCon GMs?
No. Jason Keeley, the module's author, ran some preview games of it at the event, but no one else should have access to it. That being said, from what I've seen online, there are some stores who've received their copies and have been sharing them with GMs to run in advance.

Thanks Thursty, just interested to hear where some people are getting their info from :)
our local retailers have made a point of letting us know the gear will be arriving on time for once, so have talked us into running free RPG day through a bunch of the chains retail stores, but I'm trying to grip up what is out there so I know who to nudge for some helpful non-NDA suggestions so we can be prepared for the worst.
