So with the addition of a new core class, new core race, archetypes in core, traits in core, more setting lore being in the rule book and artwork being a selling point, it seems the new core-rule book should be significantly bigger page/word-count wise. Is there any thing that can be said of how this is going to be fit in without a tiny font?
If I recall in the Knowdirection interview there was a statement about the page size being similar in page count to the 1st edition core rule book which makes me worried some things will be cut to fit all the new stuff in.

Yes, Erik said they weren't going to go any more pages than the original Core Rulebook (576 pages).
But he also said that the Playtest rule book is around 400 pages, so that they have room to deal with things that come up during the playtest.
So if you read through the Playtest rule book, you can give feedback about things you think are missing that should be added.

They should be able to pack more information in a lower word count with PF2e - the original CRB often takes 500 words to not-really-sufficiently explain what it's trying to say about 1 simple rule. They're looking to tighten up on terminology a lot which should help. They're almost certainly going to cut down the stupid amount of spells in the PF1e CRB. Prestige classes will get cut, etc.
Think about it like this - the Starfinder CRB was the same length but it had to cram in so much more technology rules as well as all the spaceship stuff. That space will be used for the extra classes compared to Starfinder.
