Help me make a dapper gentleman out of a Magus?

Advice

His name is Alexander Reginald Goodeman III. He'll be in a setting the GM wants to surprise us with, save for a few details. 1. Humans only, 2. Level five, 3. 20 point-buy or we can roll, and most importantly 4. It will be victorian themed, which is why I've settled on the gentlemanly theme.

I picked the class/archetypes I did to further facilitate the schtick, but I'm wondering if there's something or things I can do to further accentuate his upper-class ideology mechanically. Right now he has the Kensai Archetype so he'll never be seen without his carefully-pressed suits. Bladebound for a fittingly classy item in combat. (Also there because his significant gambling vice in his backstory forced him into debt he's currently paying off, including carrying the Black Blade) His two Pearls of Power are in his cufflinks, etc...

Is anything I could simply swap out for something better mechanically? Aside from the Sword Cane. I really like it, even though a rapier would basically be a direct upgrade.

So, what have you for advice?

A level of Dervish Dancer (admittedly tied to Sarenrae, which is a theme issue) can do wonders. Gives you a dex-to-damage weapon (scimitar) and several high society skills; Perform, Appraise, Diplomacy, various Knowledges.

Ask your DM if the sword and could be a counted as a rapier. You can take fencing grace with a rapier for Dex to damage.

Flamboyant arcana of course.

I'd go for a Frigid touch+enforcer build, you can rp it that as he fights he lets loose devastating quips that shaken opponents.

The Elven Thornblade is pretty much the best rapier-like weapon for a Magus. Basically a rapier that is P or S and gets an untyped +2 bonus to confirming critical hits.

I like the whip. Student of philosophy with make you chaming. Make sure you have the correct knowledges to reflect you education.

Another worthy trait would be extremely fashionable.

Give him the Student of Philosophy of Clever Wordplay social trait so your dapper gentleman can be diplomatic without being horribly MAD.

Swordcane.

Seriously.

Nothing screams class like a gentleperson with their cane.

I did mention the "Humans only" rule, so I think I'll be hard-pressed to convince the GM to allow an elven weapon. Even if I was open to replacing the swordcane. On that note:

I have good news:

I looked at the traits for diplomacy, and I would get the same overall bonus from Honeyed Tongue as I would from Clever Wordplay, or Student of Philosophy. On the otherhand, if Alexander's int mod ever increases, then the second two become better. I think I like them more from a thematic standpoint anyway, so I'll definitely trade for one of those.

Any gentleman worth his salt must know how to converse with those of their social class as well as those unfortunates beneath his station. Being a Student of Philosophy provides the kind of education that those who weren't born with a natural gravitas can use to aid them in such social endeavors.

It depends on your point buy that we don't have it. If you dumped cha to 7 and had 16 int than int to diplo becomes better and like you pointed out it scales. You can get diplomacy as a class skill and int to the skill if you want to drop two traits. Don't for get additional traits if you want 4.

Five ranks in Profession (Gambler). I love this guy. :D

(Seriously, it's my firm belief that GMs who disallow background skills hate fun.)

You don't need to be an Elf. Kensai get Weapon Proficiency with their chosen weapon.

I think he means that since it's a humans-only Victorian setting that weapons of other races may not even exist in his world. That's how I understood the restriction anyway.
