Anti-Divine character ideas. Help please :)

Advice

Hello, I have had the thought recently about creating a nihilistic character, one who does not believe in the divine at all, who believes it is all some sort of hoax, or simply some form of natural magic, which is the only proper, "Real" magic.

So I want things that are anti-divine. I can use all/most piazo and Psionics from DSP (on the srd). Also note. I am starting at 1st level. so it has to be available early on.

I know of the God Scorn and the Disdainful Defender (defending Athesism) traits for extra saves vs divine.
Humans can get the Self-Made Fate racial trait instead of the bonus feat for +2 to saves vs the Divine.
I could probably also take the Superstitious drawback and have it only apply to divine spells, with GM allowance.

I could also simply be a dwarf with the Steel Soul feat and be resistant to all magic, divine included, if thats the best I can hope for.

But beyond that I don't know :(
Any ideas you can give me?

A dispel specialist would be fairly effective against divine spellcasters. They frequently rely on buffs. Add in protection from evil/good to protect vs. summons and that covers many situations.

A ley line guardian witch can get a caster level bonus, and since they get arcane magic from a patron have a built in reason to be suspicious of those who get 'divine' magic from 'gods'.

May I suggest an Empiricist Investigator? The huge INT focus makes it easy to roleplay a "Hollywood Atheist" (which you pretty much HAVE to be in Golarion, since there is literal undeniable proof that deities exist and you can physically speak from them and learn tangible information from them).

A Superstitious Barbarian would be another good choice.

Dispel specialist seems hard to pull off, and counterspelling is a really poor mechanic, despite my best efforts.
Protection from good/evil makes sense, thanks :)
Ley Line Witch is basically a sorcerer with a Witches spell list? That conduit surge looks nasty if it goes bad mid fight. 2-3 minute staggered mid combat?
However you still do have a patron and thats kinda the opposite of what I am looking for :(

Thanks tho! :)
Anything else, anyone?

The Exchange

Depends on how late game you want to go.
An Arcanist with martial dip into Arcane Archer with the Overwatch Style line will get you decent counterspelling early and transition into completely shutting down divine (or any spellcasting, really).

Protection against good/evil and such are obviously good.

Envoy of Balance is probably the most thematic prestige class you could go with paizo material. I think it'd be a fun class for a Mystic Theurge, except, well, mystic theurge has some problems.

You could go the full Animist route with divine, viewing them as simply more powerful "spirits" - the Animist Shaman isn't bad thematically. A druid would let you play with the concept, scoffing that since you also have nature's powers, that you are similarly "divine" ("everyone is divine, thus no-one is!").

Antipaladin would be pretty effective and thematic.

Bloodrager (untouchable rager) or the similar superstitious barbarian.

For a nonmagical way, a Ranger/Horizon Walker will give you a lot of boons towards outsiders if you pick the planes you want to focus against (letting you choose for your campaign as appropriate), plus a bit of favored enemy. You could go Slayer instead for a more flexible study "favored enemy".

Apart from Iron Will as feats go, Divine Defiance, Divine Assault, Atheist Abjurations are pretty appropriate. Divine Deception maybe, depending on what you do.
If you do go Witch with Hex, Seeds of Doubt is a terrific feat for you to aim for.

SUNDER BLESSING

thank me later.

A barbarian with the Superstition, Witch Hunter, and Spell-Sunder line of Rage Powers could fit the bill of the character that you're looking for. Said Rage Powers work as well on Divine Casters as they do on Arcane, after all, and having divine attack spells simply plink off of you sounds like something your character would like.

Purity legion enforcer looks thematic. I'm not sure how powerful it is, it doesn't look terrible, I guess, but most prestige classes aren't great.

Liberty's Edge

Feats from Faiths and Philosophies

Divine Defiance & Focused Disbelief

Divine Defiance
You distrust, disrespect, or doubt the gods, which helps
you fight off their power.
Benefit: You gain a +2 bonus on saving throws against
divine spells and the spell-like abilities granted by levels in
a divine casting class.
Special: In certain circumstances, some outsiders and
creatures of other types might have a strong connection
to a specific deity they work for as agents and servants.
These creatures’ spells and spell-like abilities should
likewise be affected by this feat, regardless of the
creatures’ planar origins or sources of magical power,
subject to the GM’s discretion.

and

Focused Disbelief
So certain is your disbelief in the authority of the gods
that you can brush aside their spells without effort.
Prerequisite: Divine Defiance.
Benefit: You gain spell resistance equal to 11 + your
character level. This spell resistance applies only against
spells and spell-like abilities covered by the Divine
Defiance feat. You can lower this resistance for 1 round
as a standard action.

For the Knowledges Bard is the best class with Bardic Knowledge and it will let you heal yourself, and if you want to make yourself 'better' than Clerics take the Arcane Healer (bard) Archetype from the same book. gives you and your group a leg to stand on if you don't want 'gods' or I guess as your character would view it, just very powerful outsiders created by the cosmo's but not actually "gods".
Human let's you have both feat's to start with and at higher levels
Extra Channel for when you get the Channel Positive Energy Ability(which you get 1/dy at level 2, and 1 extra use every 4 levels after) and at fifth you can convert 2 bardic rounds for a Cure Light Wounds spell that can be used on the same person 1 in a 24 hour period. (turning to Moderate at 11th and serious at 17th) and for those two abilities you lose versatile performance and Loremaster respectively. Which is not a bad trade off at all. Add some Spell focus conjuration, augment summoning and Versatile Summoning (summoners handbook) you can make a very effective case for there being a church for willpower alone.

False Focus if you want to make an actual church for this idea to ignore spell component costs up to a maximum of 250GP
