Only Elf / half-elf could become Arcane Archer?

Rules Questions

From the latest rule for Arcane Archer: http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/coreRulebook/prestigeClasses/arcaneArche r.html

It seems the race limitation is removed from the "requirement" section but there is still some text about "elf/half-elf" in 'alignment' section:

"Alignment: Arcane archers can be of any alignment. Elf or half-elf arcane arches tend to be free-spirited and are rarely lawful. Similarly, it is uncommon for elven arcane archers to be evil, and overall the path of the arcane archer is more often pursued by good or neutral characters."

So to be clear, does it mean only Elf or half-elf could become Arcane Archer ?

No.

The racial restriction was intentionally removed to make the class accessible to all races.

It mentions elf and half-elf by way of examples, and as the most prominent and common members of the class (due to elven association with arcane skill and archery). That is all.

They opened it up.

Even without the restriction, being an Elf (Weapon Familiarity) or Half-Elf (Ancestral Weapons or Adaptability) does make it significantly easier, by giving you the bow proficiency you need without a feat or a dip. This means that you can be a single-classed 9/9 caster (usually Wizard) until you are ready to enter the prestige class.

The racial requirement was removed back in 2011.

Yeah, I still get some weird looks at PFS tables when I sit down with my 11th level Human Magus/Arcane Archer. Been playing her since 2012.
