The guide doesn't have an organized play character sheet or ITS included. Are these located somewhere else? If not should we use the standard Starfinder character sheet and list the character number next to the character's name?
You can download charactersheets separately here

Those are just the standard Starfinder sheets from the back of the Core book though. No spot for your SFS character number or any other OP specific info.

That is correct, Magabeus. I confirmed with Thursty that alas, there is no slow mode in SFS. I hope they bring one in next season, because that is how I do all my GM chronicles in PFS. I miss having this option in SFS, but they were concerned that there would not be enough initial content if players slow-tracked.
Hmm

Is it possible to put a link to the Starfinder Guild Guide on the Starfinder Society page? Not everybody will know to go looking on the products page, and the Pathfinder page has a link to their Guild Guide. Seems like it would be a good idea.
There's a few places where the linking of information is unintuitive. "where do I find the Guild Guide" is one, as is "when I click on "forums" from the Starfinder landing, the Organized Play forums aren't listed"

So, did anyone else notice the RPGG requires the GM to check your character sheet and recent chronicles prior to start and verify/sign off on your expenditures and calculations after the adventure as well as certifying that they own the material to use/purchase/memorize spells/etc, before signing the bottom of your chronicle sheet?
I imagine this was written in to help players teach GMs and GMs teach players and to help prevent inadvertent mistakes while everyone is learning the new system.
Where this can be concerning is that if you as a GM don't enforce the RPGG requirements and one of your players shows up to a con without properly signed chronicle/inventory sheets, you may be setting them up for failure when they meet the GM who does enforce this when running their table.
Is this a case of RAI and RAW are in significant disagreement with each other?
Is this something that needs to be built into the scheduled blocks of play time?
Source of conclusion:
- Page 10, YOUR DUTIES AS GAME MASTER - "As a Starfinder Society Roleplaying Guild GM, you have the following duties" Bullet 4 "Look over each player’s character sheet and most recent Chronicle sheets for accuracy. Identify any egregious issues to the event coordinator to follow up on."
Note that this is sequentially sandwiched between greet the players and run the scenario. Also note that this doesn't say "may", "should", "could", "might", etc. It refers to it as a "duty".
- Pages 14 - 15, FILLING OUT A CHRONICLE SHEET are literally a step by step sequence. Specifically, I am used to seeing the PFS equivalent of steps 1, 8 and 9 completely omitted at the 3 different stores and 1 con I have gone to.
In SFS, a GM, under the RPGG cannot simply omit 33% of the first 9 steps prior to signing the chronicle sheet, can they?
How are other SFS GMs handling this?
If you do it the PFS way, are you setting your player up for failure at their next play session outside of your store?
As someone who travels the country for work and has played PFS in 4 states over a distance of roughly 1300 miles apart and is more regularly attending cons, this matters to me.

Freedom Snake, the same verbiage is in the PFS Guide as the SFS Guide. And it was there last year, too. And probably the year before that.
In my experience, nobody does that type of auditing at the table. I doubt it'll start in SFS. The same people who ignore those requirements in PFS will ignore them in SFS, which is 99% of players and GMs.

That's more or less what I guess I expected to hear, given that I have played at enough locations to see this was the "norm".

There are places that do this, and there are places that don't. A lot seems to come down to how long before the store closes / next slot starts.
Part of it is so that if there seems to be a problem, the GM can ask for the sheets to audit them, and since that is the correct procedure in the guide, the player cannot say no. (I have had to do this a few times.)

Ooh. Is there a picture of the GM Nova anywhere? I'm all kinds of curious.
Hmm
Hey Hillary.
I do not know if it is a temporary thing or if this is what they are meant to look like, but if you look next to my PFS GM star there's a circle with slash though it. At least for now, that is the Nova.
Oddly until yesterday or so, I had five of them. LOL. Probably everyone did that had a star.

I have two questions:
Has anyone seen details on the 5 factions? I thought they were the ones in the core book, but they're not.
Does anyone know where I can find the additional resources document mentioned in the SFSRPGG? My Google-Fu has never been that good, but I couldn't find it either.
Thanks!
Robert

1) Check in the the SFS Guide for the faction information, faction boons, and ship statistics
2) Additional Resources does not currently exist.

Draco, I just noticed that you're a Minnesotan! Have I met you? Are you going to be at SkalCon this weekend for the local Minnesota Starfinder launch?
Hmm
