I was one of the players selected to play in this game and we were having fun. The GM stated straight up from the beginning that he has some health issues and that it might pop up every now and then and that he would be away from the game. Well it seems that these health issues have taken the GM out and away from the game for an extended period. The game has been moved to an inactive state. We the players wish all the luck for our GM and will miss him.
Now onto what we are here for.
Looking for a GM to take over this game that is in the beginning stages. Right now we have 4 of the original players up for continuing this. I am looking for a GM that can motivate this group and keep it moving along at a good pace. Would like to have some heavy posting to keep this moving as it is a large module. The original GM had converted the module over to pathfinder rules.
It is our hope that we can find a GM to take over.

That was one of the reason it drew me to it. A module from the good old days. We decided that we would try and see if anyone was interested.
Yep, I almost submitted for this one but level 10 is a LOT of work for a submission that might be accepted from a DM without a good track record for posting.

So, good news all. Thanks to a certain Shadowy character, I will have a PDF copy of the boxed set on Monday, and I will be taking a look at the gameplay thread to see what I need to convert still, as I haven't heard anything back yet from the original GM.
While I played the adventure a couple of times during the hayday of 2nd edition, that was quite a while ago, so I need to read through the adventure and then make notes and the like as I go.
Here is what I would appreciate: If I could get the current players to chime in so I know who all is still here and what your group's composition is and what have you.
I'm not going to lie: we will probably not be starting again for a while (as I remember the mountain being huge) as it will probably take me a while to get everything set up.
Finally, as a request to people who are playing games that I GM, if you find yourself dissatisfied with the way the game is going, please let me know and we can discuss it, but if after the discussion you are still not satisfied, we can write you out of the game; I understand that not all play styles mesh. I just ask that if we are in the middle of combat, you at least finish the combat before leaving the game, as well as letting people know, so that we doing have it wither while waiting (pardon the alliteration there) for you to act.
This should be A TERRIFYING DEATHGRINDER Fun!
I will keep you all posted with my progress, and when I get close I will start a recruitment if one is needed.

Okay, I'm through book two and partway through book three. I have a couple of options for you guys, so I'll put them to the group: I can start converting book one now and then we'll take a break while I convert book two, or I can finish reading book three and then do all of the conversions at once.
The difference in the two would be that I can probably get book one converted in a week or two tops, but we would have a longish break after finishing up book one and then probably a longish break while we finish up book three, or we can have one long break while I do the converting now and then run the whole thing straight through.
I'll leave it up to the group to decide and see where we go from there.

Same here..I would like to keep the game moving on a good pace. If we do recruitment perhaps we we can make it a requirement that posting should be 1/day and 1/weekend..or something like that. Botting a character if they do not post within 3 days or 1 day during combat. I personally do not like it when the game is held up due to a player that posts 1 time a week.

Just an update: I have forged through most of the first book and I'm going to finish that up probably by the end of next week, with a tentative hope to push into book two by that time as well.
About that time I'll start existing characters and take a good look at the character creation guidelines from the original campaign. Like any GM, I might have one or two things that I see that I don't allow in my games, but we'll deal with that when the time draws near.
