The premise is simple: An ousted River Kingdoms noble finds a trinket that transforms her into a warrior capable of reclaiming her stolen destiny.
I was playing around with the Medium class, and how it might be used as a multiclass dip, and I struck upon a fun idea: What if I used a Relic Channeler Medium/Vigilante who channels the spirit of an ancient warrior to transform? Immediately infatuated with the idea, I set about trying to make it.
So far, I've had a few ideas of how to do it, but none are completely satisfactory. As a note, I've been building PFS-legal, 20 pt. characters, since if this build works out well why not surprise a few PFS GMs with it?
Permutations to Date (all level 11):
Medium (Relic Channeler) 1/Vigilante (Avenger spec) 4/Aldori Swordlord 2/Duelist 4
Medium 6/Vigilante 2/Aldori Swordlord 3
So what's the problem? Well, so far she fights well, but sorta lacks mobility and, well, magic. I mean, the flavor is there--channel the spirit and use transformation sequence, but it's the rest of her abilities that are somewhat lacking. She lacks any magical attacks (I know a more martially-inclined character could expect much in this regard), and a way move around easily. Ideally, she would express her magic through feats of great athleticism, like jumping high into the air.
Now to the question: What suggestions do y'all have to make this magical girl work? Is there an archetype or feat I haven't thought of, or a spell or magic item I should know about? Thanks!
If you're looking to make an Aldori vigilante, you should probably be aware of the Dragonscale loyalist (from Heroes of the High Court). ^_^
You could try putting in some Warpriest levels for magic to your sword. Or you know, Magus. If she's prone to anger, Bloodrager.
Why wouldn't these classes suffice? Any could be a magical girl with a sword.

A battle host occultist with a sword used as a transmutation implement seems more like the concept you're after, with or without a vigilante dip for a transformation. Mobility and magic come naturally there.
You could always go to Ultimate Intrigue and take a look at the actual Magical Girl(Child) Archetype first, before trying to kludge one from Multiclassing.

I'm guessing that it was considered, but that the OP didn't want to lose access to vigilante specialization (and thus full BAB).
As someone working on a masked maiden with a transformation sequence, I can sympathize. ^_^
I would probably consider taking magus instead of medium, to be honest. The "trinket" could be a focus for a bladebound magus. However, with a non-casting PrC it would be difficult to keep your magic attacks to a good enough level. The spiritualist has a similar archetype, the phantom blade, which can be refluffed to have a similar flavor.
You can probably keep being a medium, but I would strongly suggest that you do not take duelist or swordlord if you want more magic. That is not what they are supposed to do.
Tranformation Sequence social talent lets you transform in a flashy way like magical girls, and the mechanical consequence is making changing between identities more conspicuous but also faster
you need to be able to cast spells or SLAs but your Medium levels let you do it

@Entryhazard: Believe me, Transformation Sequence was the impetus behind the idea.
@The Shaman: I'm not hugely a fan of bladebound magus, and I get duelist isn't supposed to cast spells. I envisioned the magical girl as being assisted by the ghost of an Aldori Swordlord, which is why I was sticking to dueling classes (so she can fight like a duelist).

Fair enough. In that case, though I would suggest a spiritualist/phantom blade, unless you really don't like the mechanic. It covers the ghost angle, and the spell list is a bit more fitting. Besides, having the aid of a single named ghost is imo more the spiritualist's schtick, the medium strikes me as a generalist who is able to switch between different ghosts or relics.
With a little personality flavoring the Magus arcana Pool Ray can be used to approximate the various fire, electricity, and ice attacks that magical girls use. Infuse a ranged weapon with the elemental power and then attack. If the item had the returning property it would further increase the resemblance.
