So, I'm planning to make a weapon out of a high hardness, but low-as-heck HP (20 hardness, 5 hp), and I'm looking for ways to protect it. I know about the Impervious enchantment that can be put on it, and I fully intend to slap that on as soon as I can. But there's gotta be other things I can do that I'm just not finding. Any ideas?

The Hardening spell increases an objects hardness by 1 per 2 caster levels, although it is a high level spell.
If you have hardness 20, why not go all the way and have a few scrolls of these cast on it?
A Permanency spell cast as a rider to the Resistance spell.
Heck, make a few permanent symbols on there for funzies.
Give it the Called weapon enchant and never have to worry about it being lost or stolen.
The Impervious, Corrosive, Countering, Grounding, Neutralizing, Thawing Weapon Enchantments all have secondary immunities to something.
Make the weapon an Intelligent Object and give it a special purpose to protect/repair itself. Then you can have the weapon cast Make Whole, Mending or Rapid Repair on itself.
Play a 3rd lvl Bladebound Magus.
Or a carelessly worded Wish :)

If spells are fine, also think about Rune of Durability. Permanent 3rd-level spell that doubles HP.

Mmm. That Rune of Durability is nice. So is Hardening, though I know my GM well enough that he'll rule only the highest Hardening will actually take effect, so only one. Countering looks bloody useful,as do Grounding, Neutralizing, and Thawing, though I'm not entirely certain I'm willing to give up more than +1 for the lot of them. :P
Lady-J, no he doesn't go out of his way, but the weapon has a specific purpose, and the types of people that he'd use it against MIGHT, regardless of how my GM normally functions. There's an old saying about better to have and not need than need and not have. Especially since I'm making this thing out of True Crystalline material, so repairing it is going to be three pains in the tail and a secondary pain in the neck.

Bladeguard is 40gp and protects against some nasty effects. Lasts for 24 hours, so it is easy to apply ahead of time. Saved my magic adamantine dorn dergar at least twice.
