Except when you're a VO, then you HAVE to have your name and title.
Hi I'm Lisa, and this is our 3rd PaizoCon. My husband David will also be there (he's 6'4", so you'll probably see him first...), and we are looking forward to seeing everyone again/for the first time!
Curaigh |
Hi, I am Scott aka: Curaigh. This will be my 7th or 8th or maybe it is only 6th PaizoCon. I have five buttons, when did buttons start? You will probably recognize me by my avatar. I do look like my avatar, except that was pre-rhinoplasty. And I do not have a beard. And I do not have blue scales. But yeah. You will probably recognize me by my avatar.
I didn't see hair coloration on the schedule. Will there be a workshop for this? I wouldn't mind adding a bit more sapphire to my scales, but I cannae find it. Please tell me it wasn't in the lottery and I missed it.
Eric "Boxhead" Hindley |
I'm Eric, I cut my hair relatively recently and wear it short now, I'm 6'4", bearded (or maybe goateed), personable, and you can ask pretty anybody at PaizoCon to point me out and they will ;)
I will most likely be found at or near the bar. Or maybe skulking around in panels. Or possibly somewhere else. But probably at the bar.
Majuba |
This will be my 9th PaizoCon (which was my very first Con), 3rd as a local. Looking very much forward to seeing new faces and old. (Taig, only 6th? really?) My claim to fame is as a good luck charm - I think my entire banquet table at my first PaizoCon has been hired by Paizo :)
I don't look *too* much like my avatar yet - but Thursday I'll be wearing my Avatar shirt, so you can still look for it.
So you are both saying you look nothing like your avatar? I was forward to petting a huge kitty :(
Don't worry Tineke - Deidre and I bring our kittens to the Con - you can come pet them.
Todd Stewart Contributor |
I'm Todd and this will be my first PaizoCon ever. I'll be attending with my spouse, though I'll let them introduce themselves if they want.
It might be a shock to many, but I don't look anything like my avatar. I'm not actually a Rast. I also don't look like Shemeska the gorgeous and hideously evil arcanaloth that I use for my avatar and username on like half the RPG forums on the internet.
I'll be running some games, playing in a lot of games, and probably getting precious little sleep!

Actually, you're right. This will be my 7th PaizoCon. I thought I took a three-year, oh-god-my-child's-college-tuition-is-prohibitively-expensive hiatus, but it was only two years.
One of my fond PaizoCon memories was chatting with you on the shuttle that first year.
Mikko Kallio Contributor |
I'm Mikko and this will be my 2nd PaizoCon. I'm 6'4-ish and I actually look a bit like my avatar. Everyone should feel free to say hi and have a chat about writing for Paizo or ask about my favorite character (or tell me about yours). :-D
I'll be playing two PFS scenarios and going to the banquet, and the rest of the time I'll be in seminars or at the bar.
Jacob W. Michaels |
I'm Jacob. I'm short, with dark hair. My wife says I'm devilishly handsome, but if anyone but me is there when she does so, they laugh, so I'm not sure what that means (I've always decided it's a laugh of agreement). Mikko knows what I look like, so you can ask him, since he's a lot easier to spot than I am.
Leg o' Lamb |
I'm jon.
I will have on some form of Hawaiian floral print shirt every day. I wear glasses. They are small and round. Also, I wear slippers throughout the con.
This my fifth Paizo con. I have learned a few things along the way:
Don't stand in the middle of the banquet chairs. Put your feet on the edges, over the frame.
Singing "I'm a Little Teapot" at maximum volume is a good way to get the banquet's attention.
Providing real time feedback for newly announced books at the banquet is generally frowned upon.
For $20, I was a Paizo developer.
Treat the feral cats with respect and they will treat you the same.
I was once called a hippie ("Man, you really are a hippie."). I no longer look like Jesus.
Buy a small coffee; it is free refills all day.
Soluzar |
I'm Walt, and I'm coming out from the DC area. As far as I know I'll be the only one. This will be my third PaizoCon. For those who remember me (not counting on it), I've lost almost 100 pounds since last year.
Aeolus Wind King |
I'm Conor and I'm coming down after for my first Paizocon after DMing for a full year on one homebrew campaign. Wife and I are very excited for the games and the pannels. Not sure how I feel about the role playing guild just yet but I'm willing to try it. Not sure how the con is going to compare to my current experience with this great game.
From Ohio, currently stationed in Minot AFB North Dakota. Hopefully Washington is less brown and boring

When were you a student there? I was there Fall 1985-Fall 1986 (wasn't a good fit for me, and transferred to the U of MN after that).
And, hi, I am Jack and this will be my 2nd Paizo Con, first as a VC.
And I have been told my avatar is quite apt... though I try more for a Ambrus Valsin look (my beard's getting pretty white these days, though).

Hmm... I had a couple of friends who went to Carleton, but I think they both started in 1987, so you wouldn't have overlapped with them.
When you say "U of MN", I assume you mean in Minneapolis? (Or is it in St. Paul?) My mother and father in law both used to be on the faculty of UMn Morris, the small liberal-arts branch about 3 hours west of the main campus.

Which is where I went to college. Except there's no "n". U of M, Morris. ;-)

I added the "N" since folks like to get confused with lesser schools, like Michigan, Mississipi, etc...
And, it is UMNTC as the coding for the campus :P
(yeah, I am in IT)

Hello everyone! I am Diego. This will be my 3rd PaizoCon, 3rd as an employee. I don't have colored hair or glasses, or anything else particularly stand out though. The best way to identify me is to shout a pun and then look around to see who cringes and cries.
If you you'd prefer happy tears, I suggest dressing up as a cow and passing out free hamburgers/steak. This usually signals the wild Diego that you are safe to approach.

Were we at Carleton at the same time, Jack? We must have been. I graduated in the Carleton Class of '88.

Hi, I'm Mark. This will be my 7th Paizocon, 4th as an employee, a number of which I was less sure until I saw that my math matches up with Adam (one thing I remember is that I sat at his banquet table my second Paizocon and his first as an employee).
Be sure to come up and say hi! Like others mentioned, I might recognize you from your forum handle.

Aha! Well, if you had history from Bert Ahern, or music from Janet Ahern, those were my folks-in-law.

Hi, my name's Scott, and this willl be my fourth PaizoCon, second as not-a-VC. Looking forward to being back after a couple years off (the aforementioned kids/salary issues). Born a ginger, the Bleaching is slowly taking its toll. You can spot me by my Aethera shirt on Sunday. Looking forward to meeting new folks and renewing old friendships.

It's true, if you bring me delicious steak, and dress like a delicious cow I will cry tears of happiness!
