So my human archer inquisitor hit level 9 in pfs and I'm seeing more dungeons coming up. I'm a bit disappointed to see they don't get darkvision in the spell list. I can get the goggles but I have a animal companion so I would probably need to cast light. The spell would be better since I have improved spell sharing. So is there a way to get the spell or a spell I might have missed?

If it's a matter of being sneaky in the dark, you could get an Amulet of Hidden Light fastened to your companion somehow. Not exactly Darkvision, but it could see normally without being a beacon of attention. Just be aware that Any "darkness" spell above 1st level would nullify it, and also that the light radius goes out to 60', so a creature would need to be at least 65' away to not see the light.

No guarantee there will be casters but that too
Being punished for not having access to that kind of magic is kind of baked i to Pathfinder at your level.
If you're really lucky, there are Wizards or Clerics in your area with the Heighten Spell metamagic feat. If so, play a table with them and have a Heightened Continual Flame cast on something easy to wield in combat but easy to tuck away. The blade of a favored weapon works.
Boom. Your permatorch now banishes Deeper Darkness.
EDIT: According to the PFSRD, Continual Flame is a 3rd level Inquisitor spell. Your best bet may be to just learn it yourself. If I recall the darkness rules correctly, a Dark and Light spell of equal level simply cancel eachother out where their effects overlap.

It's annoyingly more complex than that.
They "counter and dispel" each other. If someone casts Darkness (a touch spell) on an item, you'd have to touch the same object with Continual Flame to dispel the Darkness.
Which, of course, if you can't *see* the item you're trying to touch, becomes very problematic.
Daylight and Unwelcome Halo are the spells most commonly used to functionally deal with magical darkness, because of special clauses in their description.

That is true if you are trying to use the counter and dispel rules, but darkness and deeper darkness also specify what happens when [light] spells are brought into their areas.
This darkness causes the illumination level in the area to drop one step... Magical light sources only increase the light level in an area if they are of a higher spell level than darkness.
This spell functions as darkness, except that objects radiate darkness in a 60-foot radius and the light level is lowered by two steps. Bright light becomes dim light and normal light becomes darkness. Areas of dim light and darkness become supernaturally dark.
If continual flame is heightened to be a higher level spell than darkness then it raises the light level by two steps, from dark to dim and from dim to normal.

The heightened continual sound nice but only way I could do that as a inquisitor is getting a rod to help me out. Not sure if it is worth it. I went with 4 potions of darkvision (they are 300g each) 1200 is a bit but is mainly a fail safe. Is continual fire really as awesome as that? Sorry just with limited selection and casting want to be sure
