Highest attack bonus at lv1

Advice

Hi, I'm curious how accurate a lv1 character with appropriate gear can be. So far the highest I've been able to come up with is a +10 with a masterwork weapon. Can anyone do equal or better and explain how?

EDIT: PFS legal is preferred, and don't count stuff like charge, flank or higher ground.

Let's see, human barbarian for rage, starting 20 str (18+racial) gives 24 strength while raging (+7), weapon focus(+1) mwk weapon +1 and a charge for+2 would be +11 (but only on a charge plus raging.

Using a full orc would get it up to 12 using the same set up.

True strike with an Inquisitor possibly.

You left out the +1 BAB at 1st level for a full BAB class -- so +12 for a human or +13 for an orc.

Also, Urban Barbarian Halfling:

+10 / +12 when raging / +14 on a raging charge, I guess...
BAB +1 (Halfling urban barbarian)
+1 size
+5 dex (+7 when raging)
+1 weapon focus
+1 masterwork small rapier
+1 trait bonus with masterwork weapon (ancestral weapon trait)

Wouldn't that require weapon finesse?

Also yes thank you I don't know how I forgot bab.

Combat scabbard has the improvised weapon quality. It's a legit weapon that can be masterworked and can be enhanced.

Get either Catch Off-Guard or Equipment Trick (Heavy Blade Scabbard) (for more combat options) to negate the improvised weapon penalty to attack rolls, THEN can fully benefit from Surprise Weapon Combat Trait's +2 trait bonus to attack rolls.

Ah, you're right - it started life as a Swashbuckler ... forgot to switch it out when I jumped it to Urban Barb... so a point lower for using weapon finesse instead of weapon focus.

This is what I get for posting on cold meds...

It still gets you above 10,so goal achieved!

Silver Crusade

Actually it's not that rare to go over 10:
- 20 in the relevant stat -> +5
- small size -> +1
- mwk weapon -> +1
- Ancestral Weapon trait -> +1

So you start from a flat +8. Now some conditional options:
Race:
- Halfling -> Adaptable Luck alternate racial trait + Fate's Favored trait -> +3 (3 times per day)
- ...
Class
- BAB -> +1 or 0
- Paladin -> Smite Evil -> +Cha (at most +3)
- Barbarian -> Rage -> +2
- Alchemist -> Mutagen -> +2
- Inquisitor -> Judjment -> +1
- Warpriest -> Blessing -> +1/+2
- Bard -> Inspire Courage -> +1
- ...
Feats
- Weapon Focus -> +1
- PBS -> +1 (ranged)
- ...
Spells (also as scrolls)
- Guidance -> +1 (at will)
- Divine Favor + Fate's Favored trait -> +2 (minutes per day)
- True Strike -> +20 (lol)
- ...

Example:
Ranged- Halfling Warpriest, with Adaptable Luck alternate racial trait, Fate's Favored trait, War and Nobility blessings, mwk bow, PBS as 1st level feat:
- +8 base
- +3 Adaptable Luck (3 times per day) or +2 Divine Favor (minutes per day, practically unlimited if using scrolls)
- +1 Weapon Focus
- +1 PBS
- +1 War Blessing (minutes per day)
- +2 Nobility blessing (minutes per day)
- +1 Guidance

So we go from a bare minimum of +10, to +15 for minutes per day, up to +17 on specific rolls.

Melee- As before, but use a dagger and take Weapon Finesse instead of PBS. You lose one point, but you can now add +2 from flanking, +2 from charging and +1 from high ground.

There is also the bard archeologist (+2 to att/dmg/etc...)
And the Skald can also get quickly (lv2 iirc) +8 strength/con from rage.
