What is the best armor for a stealthy 30 Dex 20 level ninja?

Advice

I'm making a concept character, and I can't decide on his armor.
Lvl 20 fetchling vampire ninja... 30 Dex, 30 str

Bracers of armor +8.

haramaki its an armor with 1 armor bonus and no max dex and no armor check penalty you can enchant it to +5 for 6 total ac and then you can also get other enchantments onto it

Try the Armor of the Shadow Lord.

Increases your Sneak Attack, tells you how to sneak (perhaps provides Aid Another?), has a nice vibe for your character, and plus you won't lose out on any of your Dexterity Bonus.

Bonus points that you simply bump it up to a +5 armor.

Got to agree with Ciaran Barnes here. Bracers of Armor are by far the best for someone with that level of dex. The fact it helps against incorporeal touch attacks is just gravy.

Liberty's Edge

Bracers of Armor, Armor of the Shadow Lord, Catskin Leather, any Haramaki, or any Silken Ceremonial armor will allow you to use your full dex bonus to AC.

That said, the highest possible AC would actually come from a 20th level caster using the Force Ward word of power: +11, no max Dex.

For a vampire ninja you might want to go with something like; +5 Deathless Delving Fire Resistance Silken Ceremonial armor.

Well that depends... Are you looking for just AC or are you looking for a item that uses the magic slot for armor?

If he doesn't mind using up his bracer slot, then it's not bad. He gives up things like Bracers of Falcon's Aim, Swallowtail Bracers, Bracers of Archery (Greater) and Ioun Spite Bracers while having an unused armor slot.

Not bad if intelligent items are possible. Catskin Leather is a good stand-in for a more mundane option and the plain old haramaki offers total customization in armor enchants [it may be a 'better'].

Thinking out of the box, there is the Robes of Xin-Shalast!

EDIT: the BEST armor might be to make the level 20 ninja a ninja 19/Scales Fist Monk 1 so it's Cha is it's 'armor'. ;)

Not to mention, he could be wearing Monk's Robes (so he counts as 5th level for Unarmed Strike Damage and AC), and he takes the Unarmed Combat Mastery (Master Ninja Trick), so he adds his Ninja level - 4 as his Monk level for unarmed damage.

In other words, he could deal damage as a 20th level Monk while only technically being 1st level.

Pretty cool, huh?

Silver Crusade

Armor of the Shadow Lord is ultimate Arcane Trickster haute couture.

All those goodies and no Arcane Spell Failure.

A level in Monk so you can also add your Wis Mod to your AC.

A level Arcanist or something so you can Use a Wand of Mage Armor.
Amulet of Natural Armor
Ring of Protection

RPG Superstar 2012 Top 32

Aren't there Shadow, Improved Shadow, and Greater Shadow enchantments you can add to your armor? That would give you +15 to Stealth. And I think they just cost gold, not pluses.

I took the armor of the shadow Lord. For the flavor is just right.
(With the +15 to stealth from the Armor, and going invisible +20) his stealth score (before even rolling the dice) is 94!!!

There you go; glad you like it!

And he can get invisible several different ways. Ring, ninja trick, lvl 20 ninja ability, if all else fails, a wand (umd), cloak...

I was just wondering how high I could get the stealth skill.
Edit: and I gave him the shadow form belt, and as a fetchling, he can enter the shadow plain once a day at will.

What ring should I give him?
Ring if invisibility+1 other...
What would a ring if sustenance do for an undead?
Edit: now, when not moving and invisible, stealth score=120... :-)

The Exchange

Normally it is better to make your character undetectable by blindsense, blindsight, tremorsense, lifesense, thought sense, and scent as much as possible rather than stacking stealth. Things already can't beat that result anyway but the other methods of detection will automatically know your presence.

And how would one do that?
Also need help picking out an amulet and something from the body slot.

The feat dampen presence would do wonders for you bypassing some of the common senses. Boots of the soft step prevent tremorsense but only if you move very slowly. Conceal Scent the feat could be taken to avoid the scent ability to an extent, (No Pinpoint).
