Where do Rangers get their divine spells from?

Where do Rangers get their divine spells from?

Rangers Spells are of the divine type. Can this mean they get their spells from a Deity?

Question is more from a mechanic prospective as there's certain game mechanics (both good & bad) if the question can be answered as a yes.

If you're playing in a Golarion game, then yes, a Ranger's divine spells are granted by a God (or possibly the Green Faith). If it's a homebrew world you're adventuring in, then... Maybe.

Unspecified as far as I can tell.

The closest the Ranger class comes to addressing the issue is the line about Rangers preparing their spells through "quiet meditation".

What they are meditating on or about (as well as the source) is left up to the player.

If they have a deity, they get spells from it.

Otherwise it's unspecified

It's not specified in the rules, even clerics can elect to cast divine spells without getting them from a diety.

I normally make the player specify where their divine spells come from:
God
Goddess
Nature spirits
the worship of some abstract concept
Random demon
or "I dunno", which means I as the DM get to decide.

Grand Lodge

It can be from a deity or just nature itself.

Ranger Joe's

The Exchange

Rangers use the same divine focus as druids.
