I have this concept bouncing around my head that involves a salty sailor wielding a large anchor or an anchor and chain. Is there a way of bringing this character to life in this system?
Edit: Just had an epiphany, I want to play Nautilus (from League of Legends) as a pathfinder character if that helps at all.

How about a Dwarven Character with the Saltbeard alternate racial trait who wield a Dwarven Dorn-Dergar with the iron ball at the end reflavored as an anchor?

Instead of the kusari-gama, I found the meteor hammer. Does anybody know of an easy way to get proficiency?
If I go the improvised weapon route (ideally through the rough and ready trait), what would the weapon stats look like?
Reflavoring an item might be the best bet since I can get fancy things like reach on it.
Keep the ideas coming! Thanks for the ideas all.

Actually - I'm going to have to go with Ventnor's idea of the Dwarven Dorn-Dergar. Plus, unlike either the kusari-gama or meteor hammer, it's well written and won't have table variation issues.

Rough and Ready seems well-suited to using an anchor as a weapon. Just take a rank of Profession(sailor).

Here you go. I use rough and ready and barroom brawler for my traits but the last one is a campaign trait for skull and shackles so you may not be able to use it. I've used him with 2 GMs and both used great club stats for the anchor.
I built as an eldritch guardian fighter too which doesn't have the damage out put at low levels but I like having a parrot familiar and UMD will let you use scrolls to eventually make your anchor masterwork and get it enchanted.
