A Humble Bundle that is running right now includes 40 treasure chests for the Pathfinder Adventures App in the "Pay What You Want" tier. I thought that might interest some.

Yeeeoink! Thanks, Hawk!

Hawk the great supporter!

Much treasure for the buck!

Hmmm, Humble Bundle is always blocked on my work computer. >_<

And I just bought the season past last week! (I had $8 in Google survey rewards)

Well, it is a charitable donation...

[edit] I need to read things before I respond to them. It is 40 chests; that's it! :D No season pass or anything. I like this!

But the 40'ones have lots of double cards ...

But for a buck who cares...

Grand Lodge

Indeed. I got exactly three Legendaries! (...all the same card...)

If you play the usual campagaign ... Are those cards also availalbe?

Only by earning gold and then buying the treasure chests, as far as I know.

What i mean ... Do they appear in the usual campaign if purchased thru the chests?

Yes They do, unless you denied them From your settings.

The way it works is thus:

The cards that you get from Treasure Chests are not the same as the cards that are in Rise of the Runelords. For instance, Smith is an ally in the Treasure Chests.

Once you get a card from a treasure chest, it is then put in the mix of cards by the appropriate deck number. Smith, for example, is a B ally, so it is mixed in with other B allies. You'll then have to get Smith the same way you would get any other B ally.

As Hannibal mentioned, you can turn off the treasure cards for Story Mode if you want a more "pure" RotR experience.

You can also "Salvage" your treasure cards, which is essentially turning them back into gold. For example, if you got 7 copes of Smith from opening lots of Treasure Chests, you might want to salvage 5 of them and be left with just 2 in your vault (aka your box).

Since there are different levels of rarity in the treasure cards, you will end up with lots of commons (like Smith) if you are chasing the rarer cards. So salvaging will be key if you want to balance your box out a bit. I'm salvaging mine all down to 2 max of each card.

Is there a list of treasure chest cards anywhere? I'd like to know whether I've earned some or most of them--right now, I have no idea.

If you look at the Vault (or Gallery on the main page I think) I think you'll see blank spots for the cards you don't have.

Some of the cards are not yet available, so you should hold on to some of those chests if you're looking for variety.

Hm, my code does not activate ("Not a valid code"). I have number and lowercase letters, does that look correct?

Did you include the hyphens? I'm pretty sure those are required as well.

Yes, I copied it exactly from the page. Raised a ticket with the Humble support.

I had a problem, however found I was entering an

h
instead of
n

Changed and it all worked well

Entered as given. Worked well.
Do you may get multiple codes from humble?

Grand Lodge

There're three buttons near the word "Filter". If you chose "Treasure", it'll just show treasure cards. If you have a card, you'll see the art/text/etc. If you don't, you'll see an outline with a question mark (or two).

Found the filter function, but even i opened all 40 chests there are still cards missing in B 1 and 2. what about all the treasure cards from 3 4 5 and 6 which i obtained from the treasure chests, i could not view these nor filter them. Did these vanish? Or can i see them only if i buy the next packs?

If you're logged in successfully and you're looking in the Gallery of all cards (the option at the bottom of the title screen) then you should be able to see all of the treasure cards at all adventure deck numbers.

I just tried and, once I got the game to log in, was able to see my two cards from AD4 and AD6.

If you're looking in a single game's Vault, then you'll only see cards that are available in the game so far.

Thanks Hawk!

I think you need to input the dashes as well. If you aren't that might be the problem.

I pasted the code right from the page, including the dashes.

Just to add to this: Treasure cards are tracked separately than normal cards for purposes of location building.

So, if you're playing AD1 and you have a total of 20 'normal' Items in your vault (all numbers are example), and another 20 Treasure Items - that doesn't mean you have 50/50 chance of drawing a Treasure from a location.

Instead, the game has a set percentage (numbers have not been revealed)for Treasure cards in the location deck (which I believe are not card type specific, i.e. a total of 10% location boons are Treasures - but they can be all Weapon, all Armors, or any mix). So, there's no danger to really flood you game with Treasure cards even if you don't Salvage.

However, Salvage is useful if you have 4 Treasure items and 3 of them are crap - you want to keep a high count of the one good item, and salvage down to 1 copy of the rest (or 0 copies, if you're not completionist).

Humble support was able so sort out my issue.

I can verify that two codes will work and give you a total of 80 chests. ^_~ I had to copy and paste the code (and then paste it again and change the numbers/letters to the second code I got from a friend) because it didn't like my tablet's hyphen for some reason.

I just used up my 40 chests. So many doubles...

And i checked what percentage of all treasure chest cards i unlocked.
A very small one :-( ä
I just have two new blessings of 30 new treasure ones...
Really strange!

40 chests cost 20 Euro here in Germany.

It looks like that the humble code is just a teaser to buy some more treasure cards.
It doesnt give you all cards :-(((((

I am a little bit frustrated.
What is your unlocked blessings ration with the humble code?

This is correct.

We have estimated in Obsidian forums based on found cards that among the treasure cards there is about
1 % legendary
10 % epic
25 % rare
And rest normal...
So you have to buy thousends of chests to get all cards. And because of random rarity even then you could miss some cards.
Also They add new cards with every ad release so you Are shooting a moving target in anyway.

I can't verify the numbers in the above post—I honestly have no idea what they are—but I will note that while salvaging doesn't reduce the number of chests you need to open to get a complete set, it does dramatically reduce the amount of gold you need to inject into the system.

Neither can I verify those numbers. They Are just a ques based on cards that people have been founding From the chests. It would require a lot of people to collect information about what card They have got among X chests.
But those Numbers seems to be close enough so that you can predict how Many of each cards in gives rarity you will get if you buy Y amounth of chest. At this moment at least.

I see it now, thanks. Does the color of the border (gold, silver, pinkish) correspond with Legendary, Rare, etc. somehow? I assume so, but the correlation isn't clear.

I'm also excited to see lots of "Favor of..." blessings. I don't have any of those--what do they do?

Favor of... blessings are like Blessing of the Dawnflower - they allow another blessing to be played on the check, but otherwise they are the same as their base counterpart.

Yes. Gold with lots of filigree is Legendary. Silver with the same amount of filigree as Legendary is Epic. Silver with LESS filigree than Epic and Legendary (it's easiest to see in the top left and bottom right corners) is Rare, and brownish with no filigree is Uncommon. The ones with no frame (we've been calling them Black Borders) are due to a bug, apparently, and that should be fixed in the next patch.

I've been DYIN' for some Milani action...

I did get some cards with AD numbers of decks not yet published. What is the difference between these cards and the ones you can't get yet?

The ones you're describing will populate chests, whereas the ones Parody referred to will not. They have placeholders in our Galleries, but as yet nobody's opened a chest and gotten one of these out.

Zaister wrote:

Nothing, other than you can't get them. Obsidian hasn't given us a list of which cards are available and which aren't.

So how many chests do you have to buy to get hold of all cards?

Grand Lodge

1 person marked this as a favorite.

How many boosters do you have to buy to get a full set of Magic cards? The answer is, "who knows?" Depends on what you get.

Indeed...

If you Are very lucky and don't get any duplicates, you will collect something like 4 legendary for 100 chest... And I don"t have faintest idea of how Many Legendary there will be, but if there Are 20 legendary, it would mean 500 chest. But because you get duplicates and there will be more legendary than 20, so take your own ques... I estimate 10000 chest with my Luck ;-)
Your Luck may be much better!
