Add one more to south-western Quebec:

Cote-St-Luc, Quebec, Canada

Peoria, IL, USA...but I'm certainly accepting applications to move to...somewhere else.

But I think I would fall into a 'suspected secessionist' category. Not that I think BR would be a part of secession... and I wouldn't go with them if they did.

Interesting.

I find it absolutely insane that there are a grand total of 2 people on the entire African continent.

If you want to, feel free to place me in Gauteng in South Africa.
Just to be more geographically correct

Moved from Oregon to Södermanland, Sweden this year.

What can you tell me about the process? How arduous was it, both legally and financially?

I've seen "Lillyhammer." You couldn't pay me enough!

Spoiler:
Yeah, I know that's Norway, not Sweden, but come on!

Utrecht, the Netherlands.

Our cheese is superior to your 'cheese'.

So, you want to start a cheese war!

Theirs, maybe, but not ours.

If you have anything better than smoked Stilton, I should very much like to try it.

Which is still British so...

If you think you've got anything better than Stewart's New York cheese curd, you've got another thing coming. I mean, you can't even make a half-decent poutine with the ones you've listed.

I only vaguely know what poutine is (Canadians eat it, with fries/chips and gravy), but:

a) I can find out
b) Challenge accepted!

Scarab Sages

I like a good Brie - you could probably make poutine with that.

Flor de Guia is one I'd love to try.

There are a number of places in Pittsburgh that have it on their menus.

Understatement of the year.

If anyone out there thinks that Singapore is in China, let me tell you about my younger years growing up in New York, Mexico.*

*Not to be confused with Mexico, New York

Lots of places added Poutine to their menus in the Twin cities. All of them so far have been terrible. Granted I don't know what good Poutine is supposed to taste like, I just know the Twin cities versions are god awful.

A good poutine is made up of the following:

1) Squeaky cheese curds (preferably from Quebec). Any other cheese is not a poutine.

2) Good fries. Something that holds the gravy without getting too soggy.

3) A good beef gravy.

Shouldn't be left to sit too long after making. Curds melt and fries get soggy. Can turn a good poutine into a bad one.

YMMV, of course.

Not exactly. We used to be part of Malaysia, until 1965.

Singapore is its own country and its own island.

Yeap, all the don'ts on your list seem to be staples of the local version of Poutine.
