Wow, I thought MY job was nuts sometimes! :P
(Oh, wait. It is.) :/
Still, managed to have no events in my theater over the weekend, (Or next week, actually. Don't ask me how I got away with that!) ;)
SO, took family swimming this morning at university pool (allowed to bring family at certain hours only)
And since my 'Pretend to eat healthy, but really just avoid carbs as best i can and pig out on meat and veggies that I Kinda like' plan seems to be working, (Scale says I lost 10 pounds. I'm not sure I believe it, but I like the lies it's telling!) I'm slapping some lime& Seasoning marinated steak on the grill to slap over a salad with tomatoes, avocados, and some homemade dressing.
Last salad involving pork and such was a big success, crossing my fingers!
Busy this weekend actually getting to spend a little time with family, and looking forward to Fathers Day, but I'll catch back up on teh PbP's too! I swear! :)
Actually, it's time for a certain fiery-tempered wizard to get off his duff, and catch up with some more of his journal writing too,... ;P

One of the biggest lies that permeates the food industry right now is that there is some magic "fix everything for everyone" diet. from this story though, I'd say most likely a meat-based diet is in fact the diet that is right for you, not to say processed meat, but that steak for instance. Ah well, enough ranting about the fad-based "healthy living" group. If the diet's working, the diet works for you.

Bad news about bubble tea
Bubble tea is full of sugar? I'm shocked. Truly shocked.

Tentaculcat, a creature that is a chimera combination of a cat and an octopus.
What do you mean "do you have a thing for octopuses?" (or cats for the matter)...

So, I figure I netted about $1/hour on my new job (not including overhead on the car - repairs, insurance, etc - which would probably bring it into negative range). But I have lost 12 pounds so far without paying for a health club. I think that savings should be included.
In other news, it surprises me that newspaper reporters looking for exploited working man stories haven't checked out their own distribution departments.

*sigh* weekend ends...
And I will probably end having no weekend next weekend, because of Airplane Picnic being organized by the Aviation Museum. I might get an extra contract for two days (mostly cleaning after those thousands of dirty visitors).
I will probably take two days off (of my two days off available per month) for the next Monday and Tuesday, though.

I'm a bit out of countenance.
I somehow fell into having a bunch of various alternative/holistic medicine practitioners for clients. Sometimes it's pretty cool, but mostly I cringe at the pseudo-scientific lingo and hand-waving explanations.
Tonight, I was starving, so made shrimp scampi. I felt horrible afterwards.
But what can I make fun of now? :(
Oh, this stuff goes by "Culing herbal supplement". Turns out that it's an old remedy, and the white people who got it from the Chinese thought they were saying the name of the substance. The Chinese were doing their best to tell the stupid white folks that it was a "curing powder" to cure their stomachs. So, it's available as "Culing" to this day. This amuses me.

How did the interview go, Patrick? I'm dyin' here!
The interview went well. I felt a rapport with the lawyer I interviewed with, and she seemed impressed with my bona fides. Sadly, they do not have a position open at the moment, but their firm is growing very quickly, and from what she said they would need help soon.
The location is good. A 45- minute commute from my current residence, nothing I haven't done before. Going over the Bourne Bridge daily is s pain, but only really super annoying in the summer time.
I'd put it in the 'win' category. But, more resumes must be sent out

~sour look on my face~ Thank a bunch, Patrick! I though you were my friend. Here I am, coming in here to "whine" (just really joking to pass some time) about you valuing sleep over me and what do I see? You posting during the night! That is it! Our friendship is over! No one interrupts my "whining" with facts that counteract them!
