I've seen threads and stuff for re-painting pre-painted minis, but nothing so far about modifications.
In the Rusty Dragon Inn PF minis, there are some minis that I think would be really fitting for a character I have, except for the mini's hair, or hand held object. Has anyone here tried to do a headswap or even torso/leg change to their pre-painted minis before? I've cut through soft plastic minis like Bones and small metal parts, but I am not sure about the harder plastic used in these minis.

Haven't tried it with THESE per se, but I've done it with everything else from Reaper minis to heroclix to Mage Knight to D&D miniatures Process is prettymuch the same. Sharp knife, steady hands. and BE CAREFUL. The harder ones cut slower, but when they finally punch through you may lose control of the blade for a half-second.
/eyes old scars regretfully.
To connect the two pieces, I usually use Krazy glue. Drill a hole on each half and shove a little staple piece to help pin it.
It's not particularly difficult, just takes a little practice.
