Outside of Paizo canon, there's also the upcoming Legendary Planet AP from Legendary Games (the opening chapter of which you can already get) which is explicitly about planet-hopping.

I wanted to mention: this is one of the most exciting APs that I've yet to play. Period. DA-GUM, but is this idea exciting!

I was a Legendary Planet backer as well. I've been looking for someone to GM the game. I've almost got my Iron Gods GM to run it after we finish Iron Gods, but that's still a long way off.

Since I'm waiting to play the game, I haven't read any of the Legendary Planet materials yet, but man it looks great!

Scarab Sages

I appear to be in the minority, but--I have absolutely no interest in a Distant Worlds AP (to the extent that is likely unsub during its run).

Is it because you forgot your towel.

I would support a Distant Worlds AP right after a cool Tian Xia AP!

Castrovel, Aktion, all very interesting places.

[Irony] Perhaps there could be a caravan or something starting in Sandpoint, making it´s way through some elf gates to different other worlds. Or using a space ship relict from Numeria. Of course the AP would mainly be about the caravan, but it would offer good flesh and interesting NPCs the PCs can bond with. Perhaps in the end someone gets the next whatever of the black dominion. And on their way there, PCs can try different cuisines and burn down different cities on different planets. While fighting off the occasional agent from the black dominon.[/irony]

All I can do is to paraphrase you ;-)

Be careful when traversing the Distant Worlds...

Well you misunderstand. I would like a real cool distant worlds AP too, i´m not speaking out against it here. But if there´s one to come, i would really love it to be about distant worlds actually and not to have something else as a focus theme and the distant worlds only as a matte painting in the background.

SO the difference here is, im not using positively loaded language to speak out against something else in a subtle way.
That might be lost on some though.

I can only dream of being at the wheel of a space traversing vessel on a mission to stop those things too evil to be confined to a single planet!!

I've actually been clamoring for more Tian Xia since Jade Regent, even started a petition for a Tian Xia adventure path.

Alas, it did not get much traction, despite Dave Gross himself showing interest.

I'd be surprised if it didn't start with a solid grounding in some familiar region of Golarion before taking our heroes off exploring the system.

It's generally the best way to explore new areas. Introduce them to the players and their characters together. Maybe the second distant worlds AP, after the first one is a tremendous success can start out in space.

Count me as a supporter of that idea :)

Some might be interested in this thread about TianXia.

In a Distant Worlds AP, i can very well imagine PC´s waking up in some sort of deepfreeze pods or finding themselves in some laboratory chambers or even being abducted, or sucked through mysterious rifts to somewhere and then have to find out where they are and why and how to get back.

I would LOVE to do a Distant Worlds adventure path, and it's really nice to hear this kind of enthusiasm for it. Please keep banging the drum, as we all look to the boards when making these sorts of decisions. :D

I....don't want to work....I want to bang on the drums all day!

A planet-hopping AP, with one world per volume...

I mean, I'd love an entire AP set on Akiton or Castrovel for maximum "Sword and Planet" fun, but world-hopping would allow for some truly gonzo excellence.

"What's that?"
"It's my Shobhad longrifle, waaaaaaaay niftier than that broken piece of junk I got from that guy in Alkenstar."
"And... what are you doing?"
"Well, the range isn't as epic in this gravity, but I'm gonna shoot that Skyfire jerk off of his mount, then jump aboard and ride that sucker through the gate to Castrovel. Surprise the <redacted> out of those elves, heh heh heh..."

A Castrovel or Akiton AP would be awesome but I would be happy with a planet per volume AP.

+1 for both a Sword and Planet AP and for a more sci-fi AP.

These can be single-planet or planet-hopping, and with or without rules for starships and other vehicles.

It would be nice to have at least one neutral- or good-aligned star-faring civilization that is still extant. (By "star-faring", I mean at least between star systems, if not on a bigger canvas.)

So either it will be revealed that the black dominion is a hidden sith empire force choking you down or you might stu,ble upon voyager 9 on the run from some borgs?

I'll take a map, that's all I need, I'll figure the rest out from there.

+1 for a Distant Worlds AP.

I loved the hell out of Spelljammer, though, so probably shouldn't count my vote.

Spelljammer was cute, so don't feel like that discounts your opinion.

Perhaps you even acquire a ship that uses a magical helm your spellcaster has to sit in, and get attacked by gun toting hungry hungry hippos and backwards speaking orcs with guns and cannon equipped sailing ships or starships grown by elves. Nah, who would want a silly AP like that? :)

That right there is JUST the AP that makes my juices flow.

Oh man, Distant Worlds AP would be, like, top of my list. As well as an Ultimate Technology to supplement it (hint, hint). I mean, yeah, sure, tech guide could work, but... Ultimate Technology, you guys! Fly your Spaceship to Apostae and go diving into the VR of the long-deactivated main computer to get the world working again!

I'm not going to lie. I love the sound of an Ultimate Technology book.
