Thanks, that's what I was thinking too, but there's no direct path to Tamaran from anywhere except on Lake Encarthan.

Played this today, my low tier group went through the combat encounters like a hot knife through butter. Cetenna and both arcanists went down with one shot, and we accidentally killed the Razmiran priest as well.
Best moment? Spur of the moment purchase of bachelor's stuff from the drug-dealing apothecary, and promptly charming the trouper twins into bed the next scene.

That was my favorite moment as well.
Poor Cetenna, she was still cracking her knuckles when the Bloodrager cut her from neck to navel. At least her badger got some revenge.

When I ran this last weekend, Cetenna went down without doing any damage to the PCs.
However, the badger and 2 weasels created a "we will never speak of this" moment. The little furry creatures took down 3 of the 6 PCs, and did some con damage to one of those that didn't go down.

Finally managed to play this myself, on tier 4-5. We'd propably have been toast if my enlarged goliath druid hadn't critted(42 damage iirc) Cetenna early on. That or had the weasels had managed a grab or two. Still it was very close. The half-orc oracle fell to the negatives not once but twice and what initially seemed like a tactical disaster - my druid blocking the hallway - likely saved a hide or two from the Terror Weasels from Hell. When the only target's in stoneplate and boulder helm, meager attack boni just don't cut it.

I just ran this scenario last night. The investigation went well, and the set up with the cutpurse and coins worked out wonderfully.
The only complaint I have about this scenario is the loss of a potential item if anyone doesn't have a specific chronicle sheet. (No one at the 7 person table, inc. GM did)
This addition was terrible. Please Paizo, never do this again. My players, even if they didn't want the item itself, felt that hey were penalized for not attending a big convention. They already feel like they have no chance of getting any boons worthwhile because the majority of the players in my area do not attend Gen Con, Origins, or PaizoCon. Making it so an item only shows up if someone attended a limited access special kind of rubbed salt in that wound, even if the item wasn't spectacular or life changing.
The scenario itself was solid. The players really liked the mix of combat and investigation, especially how it didn't just give them the answer, in that they had to figure out where the attacks were coming from based on information they gathered themselves.

Michigan (near Grand Rapids).
We've got at least one eligible GM around here somewhere... it's just a matter of getting in touch and (assuming he's available) making arrangements. Our VL is super-busy, though.

Played this last night (high subtier) and we had a much different experience with Cetenna. Both she and her badger got slowed by the transmuter before either one could engage , which severely limited their ability to do damage. The rest of the group then whittled them down with spells while my PC (a half-orc monk/sorc) went through them one by one, pummeling them with hasted, bull's strength, chill touch enhanced unarmed flurries. (IIRC both full attacks included 1 crit.)
The rest of the party was made up of a transmuter, a sorcerer, a witch and a bard/inquisitor, so my PC was tapped to be the tank, a role which he was definitely not used to. I kept wanting to step back and use burning hands, which is his usual shtick.

I've just signed up to GM this scenario and I have a question about the Zurnzal's Foe boon on the chronicle sheet. I previously *played* 6-98 and earned the Zurnzal boon (as a player). I subsequently *played* 7-07 and my character therefore received the Zurnzal's Foe boon on his chronicle sheet. My question: when I now GM 7-07, A) does the character to whom I assign the 7-07 chronicle sheet also receive the Zurnzal's Foe boon (because I, as a player, have a 6-98 chronicle sheet with the appropriate boon)? Or, B) would my GM chronicle only get this boon if I had GM-ed 6-98 and chosen that boon? Many thanks in advance for any guidance you can provide.

So yesterday in game where I run this, Cetenna kicked ass enough that while nobody died, party was impressed enough that they stabilized her and took her a captive.
I have to say, while party I played in got knocked out and thrown into weasel cages, Cetenna is cool enough boss that I really hope she manages to survive overall xD
I guess that is rather impossible though since that would require her to survive majority of Trouble in Tamran playthroughs or something? Well anyway, she'd be cool boss to see returning
I mean, everyone needs to experience the terror of Honey Badger! (I think she is supposed to be regular badger skinwalker, but picture of Gyrluk sure looks like a honey badger) Ya know, the most terrifying animal on the planet

I ran this last Saturday for a party of 5. Had a level 5 Tangu barbarian / war priest archer, a level 3 human barbarian, a level 3 rogue, a level 3 brawler melee type, and a level 2 bard. APL as 3.2, so high tier 4 player adjustment.
The investigation went well. Once the fighting started, they quickly got past the frame up and ambush. Figured out the correct fort to goto and took care to of the arcanist's with not much effort.
They went into the basement and found Cetenna pretty quickly. Didn't help that they put a dancing lights into the room before they went into it. Cetenna was ready for them.
The party got initiate and the level 3 barbarian rushed her. she was next and knocked him out for three rounds the first hit and then stumped him to low HP. The rest of the party moved in and engaged the giant weasels and badger. The bard inspired the party with a fine juggling routine.
Next the Tangu Barbarian/war priest came in and engage her in melee. He did a little better but he ran out of rage and was dropped. The first barbarian tried to crawl away after regaining consciences and the rogue, finishing with the badger, tried to flank Cetenna. Cetenna hit the rogue twice, dropping her, and stumped the barbarian, telling him to stay.
The brawler stepped up, having helped with the badger and weasels, to attack Cetenna. He hit her enough to bring her to 0 HP but she had room to 5' back and draw and drink her potion, healing herself for 14 HP. He missed on his next attack and she dropped him in 3 hits. That left the bard. Who asked if he could just leave with his friends.
Since Cetenna wanted to embarrass the Pathfinder Society, not necessarily kill them, she let the bard heal the party just enough to leave.
The party survived but only got experience and gold out of the deal.
Afterward I realized I did not have all the small animals attack a random player at the end of each round. Likely for the best.
Closest to a TPK that I have had so far.
