Oracles would be one of my faves if not for the curse. I always prefer spontaneous casters over prepared ones. Problem is, nearly all of the curses make the character completely unplayable (mute, deaf, lame, near-sighted, ugh) and the "benefits" are super lame.
I have no idea why these curses even exist, I can't think of a single other class that has to start play with physical or mental disabilities. Oh well.

Really? I've been able to find a curse for each of my characters that fits with their theme, and doesn't make them unplayable.
My Life Oracle is Blackened, and cannot do hard labor thanks to her weak limbs. I built her as a spellcaster, so melee attacks are something she never does.
My Winter Oracle is Wasting, as the frostbite consumes his body. He goes into melee and uses the Enforcer feat to Intimidate foes.
My Flame Oracle is Legalistic, and never breaks his word. He uses buff spells and throws fireballs, when his Diplomacy skills fail.

You know, I realize you have a good point here so I need to clarify. I like to play spellcasters who are also melee combatants, and that's the reason why I find oracle curses so frustrating. If I enjoyed standing back and just casting spells during combat, the curses wouldn't be as big a hindrance.
Cold blooded isn't a bad one, that's probably the only one that wouldn't frustrate the heck out of me.

TriOmegaZero wrote:I can see how that would be a problem. I highly recommend trying to use the Wasting curse on a warrior oracle of your favorite flavor if you have the chance. Not a bad idea, Wasting is probably the least crippling of all the curses, and pretty decent for a battle oracle.
My flame oracle had the tongues curse. Just don't focus on language dependent spells...
I am also a fan of spontaneous casters, I cant see myself ever playing a wizard. A sorcerer just has a better feel to it and I don't need to pick spells each day. Also love the druid, wish there was a spontaneous druid like class (hint hint).
*edit* 40 new votes and no new monks... ai ai

Tongues or Haunted don't really interfere much with melee.

the site keeps track of router ips or something. To vote more then once you need to have access to different networks.
I can't vote more then once on my computer. I can't vote on my phone or my gfs laptop now. Because they all are connected to the same network.
And if you can avoid it vote only once.
for example
Vote Oracel and then in the other poll vote fore other.
This would be the correct whey to use the polls.

Black Blood is solid. Anytime someone hits you with S or P weapons, you get free cold damage to them. Its kinda cool.
And the destructive one is super cool and flavorful as well. Pretty much walk around sundering everything lol

Interesting. But still means you should be able to vote @ work and from home (i only voted once). Sad that your gf cant make her own vote (I hope she plays too!)
wonder if rogues are on 12, because 12 ppl voted for them or because a few rogue players have voted a few times. :P

I'm honestly amazed there are so many people who find paladins more than a sometimes thing. I voted oracle BTW.
Pallies are awesome. Great RP hooks, solid mechanics, melee awesomeness without sacrificing versatility. Plus having your sword burst into holy flames in your hand from the power of your faith is pretty badass.

Voted for Bard. And Occultist for the occult classes.
I love classes that have a ton of versatility: 3/4 BAB martials with some spellcasting, special abilities, and loads of skills.
Fortunately, there are a lot of classes out right now that fit into that general framework: Inquisitors, Alchemists, Bards, Magi, Hunters, Skalds, Unsummoners, even Oracles and Shamans. I want to play them all. :)

Hunter. Human.
Here is why:
Huntmaster: Human (adds one level to AC!-small cat)
Eye For Talent- +2 to AC stats (STR)
Human favored class bonus: skills for AC
So you have an animal companion with skill bonuses, +2 to a stat, one level higher than normal...
Plus the class abilities... (Animal Focus-look it up!)
Hunters get Teamwork feats for free, which their AC also get, for free.
Additionally, any Teamwork feats they TAKE get shared also! (starting at level 3).
So you have a crazy awesome animal companion... oh, you also get SPELLCASTING!!! Access to both Druid AND Ranger spell lists.
Okay, sounds good. :D
Yeah, my favorite class. Replaces Fighter IMO.
