Most nitpicky Shinzo question (probably)

Season of Ghosts

I'm starting to run SoG soon, and now reading the books.
I tend to pay too much attention to details, so I can't get over some briefly mentioned unimportant detail that doesn't quite add up: Shinzo's horse.
When Shinzo first comes to town, he is described as coming with a horse-drawn cart. Now, I know that Shinzo and Yix can come and go from the mindscape because one's a shinigami and the other's a psychopomp, but where does the horse come from and goes to?
Is he considered an object Shinzo can bring along?

Teleportation either happens by touching your companions or by going through a portal, so it's one of those.

I see. Thanks!

Additionally, if Shinzo's interplanar teleport (i.e. plane shift) doesn't suffice as explanation (for example, you can't figure out how he might have come by an anchor), there's always the Dead Roads. He may not be a psychopomp himself, but it seems likely that, especially in the company of a psychopomp, he may be permitted to use them to make his way as a monitor of death.
