Very nicely done.
Found my first superstar item. Great visuals and not as gamebreaking as its competing companion.
My other favorite item so far has a very specific (borderline plot device) use and there are some issues, but it makes my inner bibliophile smile.

I was hoping to see this item since I caught sight of the name on the big list. While it's damn expensive for what it does and could probably use some revising, I admit it is just as creepy as I had hoped, and a good example of how you can tweak your construction spells into the actual function of your item-- copying over a spell exactly is boring, and makes for the dreaded SIAC.
The best magic items use an example spell as clear inspiration, but find a way to put a twist on it and make it its own thing. And in this case, the designer did that, and tied together several spells that don't seem related into one nice, united package due to clever imagery and theme. Good work, designer.

Favorite items thus far:
-A body slot that twists a spell in a can in a VERY interesting way.
-An armor that make me wish my cavalier was still around.
-A detection item which I did not expect to like
-A weirdo weapon with tons of flavor
-Another armor which riff off another item but in a good way
-A butterfly themed item
-A goblin's dream item
just vague enough hehehe
Very niche item, and you'd need the right kind of campaign to ever make use of it, but I have to admit I'm fond of this dapper little thing.
Oooh, I like this helmet. Neat way of answering an in-game thing that's always bothered me a little, in terms of flavor and mechanics contradicting each other.
I actually like this item. I don't care if one of its adjectives creeps people out.

A magical item for travelling purposes? Nice. Always cool to imagine using a bit of magic to get around comfortably rather than whallop baddies. I enjoyed the change of pace.
EDIT: I've never made a mounted character, but if the item I just saw existed, I would make one immediately. I would name him Jim.
I now have 4 favorite items.
- A shield that has ranged abilities not related to shield throwing.
- A spear that makes really good use of the more unloved combat maneuvers
- A wondrous item that any mid-level party would love
- A tiny little trinket that may not be powerful, but is perfectly produced and packed with utility

Ok; I can't tell if that's a Joke Item. It SOUNDS like a joke item initially, but it's written in such a serious tone.

Lots of items that are either niche or of really limited use, but they're still very well written. Bonus points if the item is cheap enough to not feel bad about buying in spite of it's "will rarely use" nature.
I just read an item that was very fun and interesting, and formatted perfectly.
If I were playing in a stupid powerful game, that item would be awesome. Except... that it broke a vary sacred tradition in Pathfinder and Dungeons and Dragons.
So... I cannot in good faith vote for it. however, if this were NOT Pathfinder and say... All Flesh Must Be Eaten, I'd be down for that item every day of the week.

Saw an item with a consistent grammatical error, which makes me wonder if English isn't their first language. However they wrote well enough for me to understand what the item does, the idea is neat, and was overall a better concept than their competition.
I'm willing to give the author the benefit of the doubt- not having a perfect mastery over the English language isn't a deal breaker for me.

My heart goes out to people who have learned or are learning the English language. It's a mess of a language and trying to apply it to game design when you aren't a native speaker must be a nightmare.
Dangling participles are the true cursed items.
I've seen some items I liked, but so far I haven't started a keep list.

An exemplary item can break the Sean Advice... they are guidelines for what he felt were overdone or problematic, not hard rules.

This item's popped up for me a few times but only now do I realize that it's Superstar quality. I legitimately hope that they get placed in the top 32; I can't wait to see what they do next.
OK, that was an excellent creature-themed item. Perfect marriage of theme and abilities, and very evocative without needing huge chunks of descriptive text. I hope you make Top 32 if for no other reason as to serve as an example of description through Show and Not Tell.
