Don't tell me how you think my monsters should react to your item. Just focus on creating a good item.
Got a few people playing with the whole idea of gladiatorial combat this year.
Do I want to break the game using A, or break the game using B. I hope the next cull doesn't wait to Monday.
I don't have time for lunch today, but I do have time for a
quick snark
[Item]! [Item]!!!!!! If I did have time for lunch today, you'd be giving me indigestion!
So your item lets me put something inside me safely. So what happens when I no longer have the item??? What happens to the something, What happens to ME???

Why are there so many lines in the crafting requirements?!?

I also do swear to mercilessly downvote any item whose designer could not be bothered to take those 10 seconds to check such a simple aspect of item creation."
I haven't been paying much attention to the aura strength this round. Mostly looking at construction requirements.
Hmm, i wonder if listing the wrong aura strength is DQ worthy, after all having the wrong aura means your "Submission does not conform to the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game" = DQ...

using the hide of intelligent creatures is not good. Using the hide of a humanoid intelligent creature is very gross.
Dragon scales can be given or harvested harmlessly, so don't worry about this snark dragon crafters. (I am sure I found other reasons not to vote for you ;P )

Item I have seen a dozen times and downvoted each time:
I wish I could quit you.
Ok, Item. You Fall into the category of "I wish you were sent to me this before submitting, so I could help you fix it." Category.
I DO hope you post your item in the Feed-back Thread. I have some words for your designer. Not bad words, just, words for that person.
Your theme is awesome and traditional; your execution is where you fumbled, hard, down stairs.
However: I can tell you have potential. So please, get posted.
Lots and lots of things for the price of one thing. Neat-O.

I wonder why you think paizo never allowed an item to do that, but you should
These are not the sword powers you're looking for.
Do you KNOW the level of that spell? Or what level you have to be to CAST that spell? Any you made your CL less than 10?
*flips table*
I like this item, but that one pun is too much to bear.
Just misread "spell" as "smell" while reading through an item and suddenly made the whole thing a lot more mundane.
"Envelope" vs. "Severe"
That extra "e" messed both of you up. ^.~*

Is it bad that I will upvote an item that does pretty much nothing when pitted against an item that I feel would be harmful to the game if introduced, but actually does things?
I liked your item better at 80 words, the last 25 ruined it.

I took great care reading the other item, it was flawed.
I win!

Weird, I suspect that sometimes voters receive the exact same pairing.
lifeforce vs lifeforce
wrists vs wrists
Themed voting?
So it is worse if I pass the saving throw? I think that was a mistake.
Hopefully I won't see this again after the next cull.

Even this item's drawback is useful. I mean sure you will see all your friends die but the Belkar in me says "just loot their corpses" if I survive.

Ok, which of you guys are torturing your players with incorporeal undead? Every other item is some kind of ghost slaying/trapping/banishing doohickey.
wow way to combine a classic item and a classic mythos and do neither of them justice...
Edit To be more constructive: The issue is in order to do either o those things justice you needed a lot more then 300 words. points for ambition and it just makes you middling in the grand scheme.
Kitchen vs Kitchen......mmmmm....soup
Finally, I see my own item, and before my 1000th vote.
It's paired up against an item I don't think is very good. So I guess that tells me where my item must rank as well.

seeing my own item a minute after 2nd cull whoot!
I win again, survived the 2nd Cull
Pretty sure I just saw a post referring to my item, and now it's gone. I was going to respond in PM, but I forget who had posted it.
Regardless, yeah. I know. That was a result of the second version and I wish I had stuck with the original.

I must be in a pessimistic mood.
Every few pages in this thread, I see a statement of condemnation that says something like, "This item spits in the face of everything fun about gaming and makes me question the existence of E. Gary Gygax. I will up-vote a poorly-templated grocery list before I ever allow this piece of garbage to tarnish the game forever with its unforgivably bad mechanics and its unsavory intentions towards my loved ones."
Every time I read a statement like that, I immediately assume it's directed at my item. I don't assume that about any of the mild snark in this thread, just the truly vitriolic stuff.

Have a little faith in your skills, Eric Morton of the Clans.
That is not a Pathfinder class, sorry. I don't like your opponent much, but it follows the rules...

I'm the same; I read every single snark to see if there is a hint of my item. Very disheartening, but I can't stop myself. :(
