Getting multiple full power animal companions as a hunter, how can it be done?

Advice

So i went and saw Jurassic World yyesterday and it was an awesome movie, and after seeing the ending i now havve a powerful urge to make a Hunter with three velociraptors as his animal companions. The velociraptors are easy, the book says to just use the Deinonychus statblock, but the main problem i ran into is that Using the Packmaster archetype i fear i may be spreading them too thin, so i ask you for assistance great and knowledgeable paizo forums, how can i get extra animal companion progressions that i can stack into my Packmaster levels? Preferably i would hope to get 3 full level progressions, but that i feel is a lofty goal, if you know how though i would love to hear it! :D

Depends how high you're going to level, but Boon Companion taken multiple times will give you good stuff for a bit

If you're a human, you can have fully leveled raptors until 6 with just that, but aside from that I can't think of any way to boost your EDL with a Hunter..

i figured one way to boost my EDL was to get the animal companion ability from other sources as well, so that i could effectively double my level for the purposes of my Raptors, btw thanks for cluing me in that Boon Companion can be used multiple times ;)

Type in 3 animal companions and my thread will come up or APE WITH RANGED WEAPON.

A Packmaster with three companions who takes Boon Companion three times can keep his companions at maximum level through 6th. So if you're playing E6 there's that.

Beyond that... can't really be done, sadly. Not with three of the same companions.

As a practical concern it's also a Really Bad Idea, both for being the best way to irritate other players and GMs and just because you're going to have to keep four separate characters geared up and alive.

But 3 of those they have 5 attacks EACH. No one will play if you get that. Just get 2.i only got one.

Be an evangelist of Erastil. Dat Old Dead Eye boon.

It happens a little later but you could take the Variant Multiclass Druid option and get an animal companion at level 7 (at -4 character level, at 11th level it equals level).

Stacking that on top of a Hunter would give you two full powered animal companions at level 11 without boon companion (but would cost you feats anyway).

Anyone willing to share their raptor's feats in general.

The question is not "how to do it" but rather "should it be done".

The answer is probably not; it could be somewhat OP (if a class having its own abilities plus one "full power" animal companion is "balanced", then have two more "full power" animal companions must be OP, right?).

But, if that's your game, then I say go for it. But I'm not sure hot to do it, mechanically.

However, beware:

Velociraptors were ACTUALLY the size of turkeys. They maxxed out at about 33 pounds and, stretching their necks up, would have been at most just over 2 feet tall.

So yeah, take three actual velociraptors and never worry about being too OP.

Better yet, get what you want and go with deinonychus which were actually about the size and shape of the raptors in the movies. Or, go big or go home, take my favorite, the utahraptor (I happen to live in Utah so, er, uh, Go Utes!) which was probably the biggest dromaeosaur, nearly twice the size of Jurassic Park's raptors (and easier to spell and pronounce than the others, too).

My I suggest an inquisitor (sacred huntmaster)?

Take the animal domain.

Take hunter (pack master) first and boon companion as needed. The rest is inquisitor with the animal domain.

This really starts to kick in at level 5
You have an AC from class and an AC-3 from domain
If all 3 of your feats are BC that adds 12 more.
At 5th you have 6 druid level split 1/1/1/3 witch ends up 5/5/5/3
At 7th you take BC again and 11 levels to split up. 3/3/3/2=7/7/7/6

As an inquisitor you get free teamwork feats and all your ACs get them as well.

If you are willing to take AC from the beast rider list you can use this feat to add 2 to all of you ACs. At 7th that looks like 1/1/1/5/3=7/7/7/7/5.

If you go this route, give a mount to every PC in the group and let them control it. The pteranodon makes a nice flying mount for any for any ranged characters while several other make good chargers. The steg can works well with a trippers.

Note that a single use of BC gets you 2 full ACs of any type all the way through 20. If you go that route you do not need to dedicate your character to your ACs and it will play much better at the table. Having crafter for all the extra items your ACs will need would help.
