Well, most of the Democrat and Republican Candidates at this time seem like they will have a no win situation for the voters. None of them really seem like they represent what people really need (for instance, instead of paying for insurance...how about doing something REALLY to affect the costs of healthcare, like forcing down the actual COST charged for healthcare).
IN that light...Magneto actually sounds like a better option overall...
I'm not sure I agree with his health policies either though...he seems to have some higher tech (along with Xavier) in regards to healthcare though.
I hear that he has people in his campaign that have actually died...but they always come back from the dead and never suffer permanent injury.

OTOH, I'm not really in favor of his military policy and his position on terrorism.
Nor, being human, his take on racial issues.

I wonder what his definition of mutant is. You don't necessarily have to have some special power to have a mutation (for example, cancer is a mutation...)
He does have sort of an aggressive take on terrorism...then again, if he's president...I think that may change.
He seems to have it so that the only type of terrorism he approves is his, if he's in charge, he seems to want to stomp down hard and quick on anyone who does anything terroristic to his control.
He also seems to love metal and doesn't use the military all that much. We might actually be able to save all that money we spend on National Defense and redirect it towards healthcare and the needy?

Presumably it's the Marvel Comics definition; A person with an expressed (as opposed to latent) X-gene.

Doesn't part of him want to turn everyone into mutants?

Closer to "activate the latent X-gene of many seemingly normal humans".
This has the unfortunate side effect of killing everyone who DOESN'T have that gene but you know, omelets, eggs, whatever.

Trump beware: political apprentice Deez Nuts is top-polling independent
"There are 585 registered candidates for president in 2016, including Sydneys Voluptuous Buttocks (independent), President Emperor Caesar (Democrat), Buddy The Cat (Democrat), Crawfish Crawfish (other), Bailey D Dog (independent), Buddy The Elf (write-in) and Lindsey Graham (Republican), none of whom – unlike Deez Nuts – received any support whatsoever in PPP’s North Carolina poll."
No mention of Vermin Supreme, alas.
:(

Great. I followed the link, and now I'm depressed. "and Darrell West, vice-president and director of governance at the Brookings Institution, confirmed that with these numbers, Deez Nuts is indeed at the crest of the most successful independent campaign since Perot in 1996."
I think the entire U.S. voting public is epitomized by two simple statistics, culled from 2014 (the latest easily-Googled numbers):
- Congressional approval rating: 15%
- Your own congressperson's approval rating: 46%
"It's not my guy, it's those other guys!"
So incumbents are eternally re-elected, and nothing ever changes.
As someone once quipped, "In democracies, people get the government they deserve."

I'm disappointed the Silly Party has no representation.

In one Arc, he almost had the opportunity to do it via rewritting reality.
There are also a few Arcs where things like that happened via Reality Warpind, Time Travel, etc...

I'm sure in the 50 or so years X-Men has been around, Magneto has thought of every conceivable plot to mutant-ize the world. I wouldn't be surprised if there was an idea that involved incredibly smelly radioactive cheese.
You would probbly still prefer Magneto to Charles Xavier (comic book wise anyway).

My knowledge of Xavier's character is limited to the cartoons, the movies, and his really early days in the comics.
Based on the latter, and how much of a dick he was...you're probably right.
Most of my comic book knowledge is second-hand via shows like AT4W, or adapted media.
For what I know, if Xavier is still alive in the comics, he is probably still a douchebag.
At least Magneto doesn't hide the facts that he is quite the douche as well, unlike Xavier.

I'm sorry because I know how incredibly frustrating this feeling is but I couldn't help but chuckle at this.
The real spoiler is more "how" and "why" at least, if that's a comfort.

Really, all magneto has to do is switch from "mutant superiority" to the republican invisible hand line and then let mutants rise on their own powers. Seriously, if you can put an entire demolition crew out of work with your superpowers you'll rise on your own merits without taking over the world.
"Its the invisible hand of the market!
"No its my ferrokenis...yeah Invisible hand. Lets use that.

It's cool. I'm not as bothered by spoilers anymore after Persona 3 spoiled its own ending ten seconds after I put in the disc because I have a basic comprehension of Latin.
