Is there any reason to for my group's sorcerer to keep track of how many times she can use her dragon claws per day? She doesn't plan on using them for multiclassing shenanigans and she isn't a melee combatant nor does she intend to be. She just wants to have permanent dragon claws with which to open letters and drum the counter until the tavern owner comes to serve her. Seems stupid to make claws a limited amount per day, but I'm always on the lookout for munchkin tricks though, so is there any reason you guys can think of not to just make to claws a permanent thing?

if you're the GM just mark off uses per day when it's used in combat, if it never comes up, then it never comes up.
Agreed. There's no reason to deny a player the flavor they're looking for. If you want some silly justification, just say that he claws are only strong enough to strike for damage X times per day before the character breaks a nail (lol).

Giving her permanent dragon claws isn't going to be unbalancing anyway, especially if she doesn't plan on doing melee much. Just make sure to have NPCs react to her like you'd expect them to when they see a woman with deadly-looking claws -- surprise and fear if they're in a backwoods hamlet, or casual acceptance in a cosmopolitan metropolis like Absalom (where they see stranger things on a daily basis).
