Hey there. This is my submission for a Magus that likes to touch things with his sword. (That sounded better in my head). Definitely good for a melee or secondary melee sort of guy.
Unfortunately the forums aren't letting me create an Alias right now. I shall if selected.
Name: Caius Vail
Race: Human
Class: Magus
Sample Sheet: http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=1040405 (Only level 1. Did not have time to update)
Possessing strong Ulfen features, Caius’s skin is a lightly tanned bronze that serves to enhance his handsome appearance. His long blond hair and green eyes serve as a sharp reminder of his foreign heritage. Typically Caius is dressed in well-crafted and form fitting attire, striving to both show off his muscular frame and allow for freedom in combat. Ever pragmatic, Caius prioritizes function over form and can be seen wearing tough and heavy duty explorer’s clothes with ample pockets, and a thick cloak for warmth.
For an Ulfen, Caius is extremely well spoken and well mannered, preferring to cultivate a calm, humble and hardworking attitude. He is intently driven to always be carrying his ‘share’ of the work and takes great care to never be seen as ‘slacking’ or doing anything other than his best. Often times his focused personality can cause him to lose sight of a situation, but it was a necessary survival tactic he developed to survive his years in the Arcanamirium.
Born on Erastus 19th 4690, Caius was born in the far away city of Halgrim. In his early life, he remembers growing up on an Ulfen trade ship with his parents, Atsa and Erak, as they travelled from port city to port city trading goods. Overtime as their holdings grew and Caius’s parents became more successful they chose to settle in the cosmopolitan island of Absalom in order to better manage their growing fleet. However, as their holdings grew they became less and less present in Caius’s life preferring to leave the raising of Caius and his siblings to hired retainers. This freedom led Caius to delve inward, focusing on books, stories, and history.
One day while exercising his lack of omnipresent adult supervision, Caius decided to sit in on the yearly test offered by the Arcanamirium. As luck smiled on him or by some hidden skill, he was graded quite well by the tutors and received the rank of an apprentice. When Caius asked to be signed up at Arcanamirium his parents saw a chance to ship an extra mouth away from the household, do good by their son (without actually having to do anything), and save money on the retainers they paid to watch him. They agreed with hardly a complaint, even if magic was not a ‘traditional’ Ulfen practice.
In addition to his arcane aptitude Caius expressed a great interest and skill in physical combat, relishing any opportunity he had to compete with others, and anything to do with sword play. His energy and desire ensured he was enrolled into a mixed training program focusing both on martial and arcane pursuits. The brutality and competitiveness of Caius’s years in the Arcanmirium was legendary, from being woken up at the crack of dawn for physical training, to being forced to calculate arcane variables while being doused by buckets of cold water. Caius developed the focused mind and discipline needed to walk the path of the Magus, along with the hard body needed to survive hand to hand combat.
As Caius began to complete his studies at the Arcanmirium, he became fascinated by the few technological relics that were held by the college. Items that seemed nearly identical to his magic, yet more ordered and logical like something made from a forge, not to mention the mystery of Skymetal itself! Caius spent his years in the Arcanmirium piecing together dozens of half reports from school professors and bothering grizzled Pathfinders for fragments of Androffan text, as he attempted to learn the dead language.
Now, years later, Caius has long exhausted everything that Absalom had about Numeria. Canceling all of his obligations, he set off for the city of Torch deep in the heart of Numeria to continue his research.

Hello potential new friends! This is one of the current players in the game and I thought I'd pop in and toss out a little more information for those that haven't had a chance to check out the gameplay or discussion threads. Currently, the party consists of:
Human Slayer (Vanguard archetype)
Human Summoner w/ quadruped eidolon
Gnome Cleric (Brigh)
Tiefling Barbarian (Breaker archetype)
Human Arcanist
We also had a human warpriest of Pharasma who was our most active poster, but they sadly dropped off the map back in late October. To be honest, we've kinda had trouble getting back into a good rhythm since then. However, we've had some amusing and silly RP, which I'm sure will become apparent from perusing the gameplay thread. I'm looking forward to seeing whoever joins our merry band of misfits :)

Hi. I'm Zat.
I made this guy for a different IG campaign. I am currently Gming this one here on the forums if that makes a difference. I usually post 2-3 times per day. I am a very active and consistent poster. If you'd like Zat in this game, I'll level him to 2.

@GM, the suit is kind of like the synth summoner no duration. It goes away in an antimagic field, but it is just armor. RIght now it can be MW Chain Mail, MW Halfplate, Or just a skin. Each one has its own free customizations. The oversized weapon comes from the powerfull build customization. Other than that there is no real drawback to the suit. All of its class powers are about improving the suit. The only thing I can realy say about it is it doesn't scale that high as you go. Its a front loaded class in my opinion but I think it ballances pretty well around the level 7 area, but is very powerfull at level 1-5 damage and tanking wise. After picking up flight at level 5 You have seen most of what it can do. It doesn't do anything crazy like getting large and the Huge like the synth summoner. So yeah thanks for the consideration. If the large weapon is the only thing holding you back on him I can choose a different customization for now. We can also work together to tone down anything you think may be to breaking at this point. As stated I'm realy active on here and been role playing for 25years. Lets do this :)

Looking at this party composition, do you guys really need another meaty frontliner? It looks like you have somewhere between 2 and 4 already depending on the Slayer and Cleric's builds.
| Felicia LaFou |
Hiya! I'm Felicia, and yes, I hit like a Mack Truck!
I actually created this character for the same campaign as Zat, and it has apparently fallen apart because of the GM's demanding vocation.
Link to my character sheet is in my heading, and obviously I'll power her down to standards for the campaign. She's gonna pick up the Slashing Grace feat at Level three, and the damage potential will begin to climb.
Swashbuckler is my favorite class, and it does SOOO much damage when built right. my highest level one is built as an ADC character: He's level 9 and has a +21 to attack with his Bastard Sword which does 1d10+14 Damage plus his precise strike damage and extended crit range. It's scary.
I did create the custom race to give her proficiency with her Falcata, but I'm flexible enough if you want me to change something up. There was one event that happened in the other campaign that I would really appreciate you allowing my incredible fortune to reoccur in this one, but we'll talk about that if you like the concept :)

I'd be glad to have you join us.
There may be some adjustments needed for your characters.
Please PM me any important info about your character and their connection to Torch etc. I'll reply with an update about where we are and how you'll enter. I'll also detail any needed changes.
Thank you everyone for submitting!

The barbarian and the slayer are our primary frontliners. In accordance with TRO having some initial hesitation on allowing summoners at all back during the initial recruitment, the eidolon is also a damage dealer but is not and probably won't be the fully optimized bringer of pouncemaggedon that I see a lot of them designed to be. The in-game explanation for this is that his summoner allows him some freedom to pick how she 'builds' him. I (as the summoner) also don't make use of the Summon Monster SLA per GM request. As for the rest, our cleric and arcanist are the primary sources of helpful and offensive magic, cast at range. They're also the two who have the most knowledge about the tech and other strange stuff the party has stumbled across.
To be honest, TRO was the only who initially posted the suggestion of seeking PCs that can give and take punches. But since he's opening two spots instead of just one, I imagine that there's plenty of leeway for just about any sort of character 'role' to be submitted.
Here is a link to the original recruitment thread.
*edit* Ninjaed by the DM! Looking forward to seeing you three join us :)

Update!
Zat has withdrawn his submission. If the other two PCs are interested then will have two new players instead of three. If one or both of these players also redact their submission then we'll recruit again.
As a side note we will be changing some thing about this characters i.e. power level, psionics, etc.
Thanks Palo, yes I think some heavy hitters will allow us to smash through enemies more quickly. I'm also just looking for frequent and productive posts to move us forward!
