Can a Soulbound Shell arcanist use their Quick Study class ability to change their spells prepared despite their Cemented Mind racial trait?

I guess I'm asking which ability trumps the other as they are both pretty specific.

I think the Shell's Cemented Mind trait wins.
I think Cemented Mind is a passive trait that prevents modifications to certain properties of the Shell.
I think Quick Study is an active function that modifies certain properties of the Shell.

I think the relationship between Cemented Mind and Quick Study is comparable to the relationship between a crippled Oracle's immunity to Fatigue and a Barbarian's Rage-End that causes Fatigue, which is another relationship between a passive absolute clause and an active state-change function.
