"Miscreant" attacked me with a shortbow this morning. I returned fire and taught him the error of his ways; however, I noticed after combat was over that I had an Aggressor flag ticking down on the right side of my screen.
Is it possible that taking an extra shot at his corpse might have caused this, or is there an exploit allowing miscreants to cause innocents to flag themselves? For reference, I don't believe I lost any rep.

You gain Aggressor when you attack a Character with a white name. It lasts for 60 seconds. If you have the Aggressor Flag and attack a Character with a white name, you gain the Attacker Flag, which lasts for 60 seconds after you leave combat.
If he attacked you once, and never hit you again, it's possible his Aggressor Flag wore off before you killed him. But if you only had Aggressor, then that would have had to have happened on the last hit.
If you were near his spawn point, it's possible you hit him one extra time with a queued attack after he respawned. I think we're supposed to drop target when they die, but I think this still doesn't happen sometimes.

Auto-targeting party members after the monsters drop is a thing I could do without. I don't care if they're an aggressor; they're in my party!
Lol, THAT IS STILL NOT FIXED!!! That was my gripe during Alpha 6.
Drakhan, you have to be extremely careful to keep your eye on who you are targeting when in a group. Accidental targeting of group members, and the subsequent Rep loss is the only real danger in PFO.
When grouped I have had to train myself in not just mashing on attack buttons, but actually slowing it down, waiting to see what I am actually targeting and then hitting the fire button.
It doesn't help that you can target opponents behind you, nor can you pivot while firing a ranged weapon (ie. bows) in order to keep your target in view.

Yeah. this is just sad. It really does seem like pivoting ought to be removed from the movements that are forbidden to ranged combatants.

I haven't had a problem with Rep. I'm still sitting at maxed Rep.

You can't pivot with the keyboard, but you can spin the camera with your mouse.
