When you are facing two items, one with poor formatting and/or syntax, but appealing content, and one over/underpriced/powered though well written, should we be guided in our voting by sheer intuition or is one of the qualities of a desirable Superstar item (ability to follow the rules, good writing, good grasp of the rules, good game balancing) more... well, desired?
I feel that Mojo > Formatting. I use formatting to break ties. Now rules problems are almost as important as Mojo.
Each voter has their own preference and rates different aspects of items in their own hierarchy. For me, I can overlook formatting and syntax issues unless they impede my ability to read and understand the item's abilities. I'll usually upvote an item with a more strongly creative and original idea over an item that is perfectly formatted but not all that exciting.
If the items are equally compelling, then I'll look at who the better writer is as far as description, formatting, and rules knowledge.

formatting is just about the lowest criteria for me, only considered as a tie breaker unless it is particularly egregious(as in completely absent)
