500 bottle of ale on the wall, 500 bottles of ale. . .
You take one down, pass it around, 499 bottles of Ale on the wall!
Oh, Hello my item. Long time no see! Paired up against an item I've already expressed much discontent for. Conscience clear!

OK, another bout of silliness. Yes you are well made. But so is your opponent and it takes itself seriously!
ok I've only seen you three times and the first couple I held your serpent theme against you due to voter fatigue but wow that's not bad at all solid weak keep material
you made the cull despite being the last item on my old bingo card
ack 2 items that have superstar potential but fell a little apart in execution... how I long to give you feedback

I amend my opinion of rods, I've been more careful to reread stuff this weekend and I'd say there's 3-5 contenders for top 32 out there...
Me taking the time to reconsider is an effect of this thread. For every mean spirited bit of snark there's a counterbalancing positive effexct that would not happen if we voted in a complete vacuum
Voting for you even if you could be considered competition for my item
wow both of these are cold and toothy
winner had a much cooler visual (pun intended)
Ok Staff you loose because of a bad name really...

"Sleep when you're dead" I believe is what you told me. Get some rest, drink plenty of fluids, take care of yourself. Sleep? I didn't sleep. Dozed a bit maybe. But this bug is interfering with my sleep patterns royally.
I am now using medication (sweet, wonderful drugs!) that is helping alleviate the more nasty symptoms. And they have opened up a whole new world! Did you know there is a whole rainbow of different colours between chartreuse and yellow green? :D Drink some coffee, you'll find the colors in the higher frequency colors too ;-)

And we start the Adventure Card Game Skulls and Shackles Campaign as a warm up.
the fun with this combo is that is can be repeated a dozenish times with different objects.
hammer that smashes things vs shield that takes away weapons... who will win?

Shield grabs hammer which smashes shield and itself in the process?

And then, at 11pm UK, the Star Wars Xwing miniatures come out for a quick game - tie fighters versus the millenium falcon (yes, it has arrived!)
Does happy dance!
I am now thinking every wood item for life embracing druids should be made of greenwood.

I'm considering doing a play by post campaign if the judges are somehow blind to my awesome design skillz.

I either am 1 vote or 3000 votes from Champion. So it may be physically impossible for me to Champion... damned if I don't go to the wire and see what happens.
Plus since I'm only now making a keep list, I need to see as many of the items I liked as possible. Hi-ho voting! Awaaaaaay
I have discovered that as I approach 5,000 votes (oh voting gods please let it be soon) that I have been voting for bards, birds and most things flying. I seem to have a "type."

I have a restraining order dated 1983 that says that they can in fact just get enough of me. Wankers.
Also, the item that I dislike, I reread it and worked out why I dislike it. It doesn't do exactly what I thought it did, which means it is poorly written and failed to communicate clearly what it does do, but it still doesn't do something I think it should do, so I do not feel badly for down voting it.

So your next PC will be an avian race that can fly bard then? ;)

Next year I'm definitely counting my votes. I know I'm nowhere near Champion, but I'm dying to know whether I'm approaching 3,000 or not.

Don't feel bad...my first concert was Simple Minds (don't worry guys...I could never forget about you). Shriekback opened, which was pretty cool when I found out who they were later.
My second concert was Philip Glass...with Linda Ronstadt and the Roches on vocals.
The artist I've seen perform live the most is Laurie Anderson...which probably explains a lot.
Though, with my estimation skills, it's likely that I haven't even broken 2,000.

I have seen Rush and Over the Rhine most frequently, with Primus coming in a close third...cuz Canandians ;-) Our musical taste says as much about us as it does the circumstances of our environment. There are some songs I cannot hear without going back to a specific place and time. I would love to be involved in music therapy.
I really like this rod, I doubt we'll see it in the Top 32, but it is just so darn awesome.

After Laurie Anderson, it would be Cake for me...they were playing at Bumbershoot every few years for a while there and always do a great show.
The person that I most want to see that I never have is Janelle Monae. Followed closely by Hatsune Miku. ;)
