I amend my opinion of rods, I've been more careful to reread stuff this weekend and I'd say there's 3-5 contenders for top 32 out there...
Me taking the time to reconsider is an effect of this thread. For every mean spirited bit of snark there's a counterbalancing positive effexct that would not happen if we voted in a complete vacuum

OK, sick with flu and tired. So I'm done voting early today. See you all on the morrow when we push to the finish line. Good night!"Sleep when you're dead" I believe is what you told me. I am now using medication (sweet, wonderful drugs!) that is helping alleviate the more nasty symptoms. And they have opened up a whole new world! Did you know there is a whole rainbow of different colours between chartreuse and yellow green? :D
Drink some coffee, you'll find the colors in the higher frequency colors too ;-)

Develop synesthesia and you'll smell a rainbow of sounds no one has ever tasted.
And then, at 11pm UK, the Star Wars Xwing miniatures come out for a quick game - tie fighters versus the millenium falcon (yes, it has arrived!)

I am now thinking every wood item for life embracing druids should be made of greenwood.
I play those sometimes... I also sometimes play druids as eco-terrorist types that oppose things like roads and cities in a violent manner.

I have discovered that as I approach 5,000 votes (oh voting gods please let it be soon) that I have been voting for bards, birds and most things flying. I seem to have a "type."

Also, the item that I dislike, I reread it and worked out why I dislike it. It doesn't do exactly what I thought it did, which means it is poorly written and failed to communicate clearly what it does do, but it still doesn't do something I think it should do, so I do not feel badly for down voting it.

Don't feel bad...my first concert was Simple Minds (don't worry guys...I could never forget about you). Shriekback opened, which was pretty cool when I found out who they were later.

Don't feel bad...my first concert was Simple Minds (don't worry guys...I could never forget about you). Shriekback opened, which was pretty cool when I found out who they were later.
My second concert was Philip Glass...with Linda Ronstadt and the Roches on vocals.
The artist I've seen perform live the most is Laurie Anderson...which probably explains a lot.
I have seen Rush and Over the Rhine most frequently, with Primus coming in a close third...cuz Canandians ;-) Our musical taste says as much about us as it does the circumstances of our environment. There are some songs I cannot hear without going back to a specific place and time. I would love to be involved in music therapy.

After Laurie Anderson, it would be Cake for me...they were playing at Bumbershoot every few years for a while there and always do a great show.
The person that I most want to see that I never have is Janelle Monae. Followed closely by Hatsune Miku. ;)
