[Rogue Genius Games] ACG Advanced Options pdfs

So as one of the authors of the Advanced Class Guide I am dying to get started on some 3pp content for it, but for firewall reasons I don't begin writing for any Paizo book until 30 days after its release.

Even so, I am beginning to have ideas for some Advanced Options pdfs for the ADC classes, and *I am curious where folks would most like to see my first efforts in a few weeks. Which of these interests you most?

*New Arcanist Exploits (brand new arcanist options)
*Expanded Bloodrager Bloodlines (bloodrager versions of the sorcerer bloodlines from places like the APG)
*Brawler Brutalities (talent-like options a brawler can take in place of some of its class features)
*Hunter Knacks (talent-like options a hunter can take in place of some of its class features)
*New Investigator Talents (brand new investigator options)
*Expanded Shaman Spirits (spirits based on mysteries from places other than the APG)
*Skald Sagas (talent-like options a skald can take in place of some of its class features)
*New Slayer Talents (brand new slayer options)
*New Swashbuckler Deeds (new deeds a swashbuckler can take in place of her normal deeds)
*Expanded Warpriest Blessings (blessings based on domains from places other than the Core Rulebook, possibly including druidic animal and terrain domains)

Arcanist exploits and Slayer Talents.

Slayer Talents. My wife would murder you all for some kinda shapeshifting ability (she's always loved the idea of a Rogue/Druid combo - what better way to steal stuff than as something else?).

Something to replace Warpriest Blessings. More Blessings. Swashbuckler Deeds and feats. Warpriest feats. Teamwork feats for Hunter. Something to give Feral hunters the ability to cast level appropraite Summon Natures Ally.

I think Paizo plans on more Bloodrager bloodlines, so I think those may be unneccessary use of your resourced.

talentedalchemi... err sorry to answer This question

Slayer and Investigator are probably the two new classes I'm most interested in from ACG

Definitely slayer talents - it's a great class but could really use a few more options.

I'd put swashbuckler deeds as a close second - some alternatives that don't eat swift actions would be awesome. :)

Brawler Brutalities, Hunter Knacks, Skald Sagas, and (if possible) more Dares for Gunslingers and Swashbucklers (and Sleuths!). But I'll buy whatever you put out, most likely.

slayer talent, arcanist option, skald sagas, bloodrager, arcanist choice, shawbuckler and warpriest.

That puts interest levels at:

Arcanist (2)
Bloodrager (1) (With a note that Paizo may cover new bloodlines in time)
Brawler (1)
Hunter (2) (Including a request for feral hunters to get level-appropriate summon nature's ally)
Investigator (1)
Skald (2)
Slayer (5) (and an offer of murder if they include some shapeshifting)
Swashbuckler (4)
Warpriest (2) (including a request for something to replace blessings)

Which puts the slayer way out in front, which surprises me (which is one reason I ask for this kind of feedback).

I'll throw in for the Skald first and the Hunter second.

Brawler Brutalities and Slayer Talents look good to me.

Hurrah! I'm actually for everything you mentioned, I just feel more strongly about what I posted above. You wont see me crying about Slayer Talents or Brawler Brutalities.

Arcanist Exploits, Shaman Spirits and Warpriest Blessings

Shaman stuff, included a feat/archetype to take revelations from the mystery matching their spirit: a Bones shaman MUST be able to use Command Undead, and a Nature one MUST be able to use Natural Divination!
Bloodrager stuff
Arcanist stuff
Warpriest subdomain blessings (and an option for a sacred shield, please!)

Throw me in for Swashbuckler and Arcanist. And the idea of a shapeshifting slayer.. though other slayer stuff can wait. :D

Murder by my hot wife, no less.

Swashbuckler and Bloodrager please!

My vote goes toward Skald and Brawler

Pathfinder Starfinder Society Subscriber

Another vote for Swashbuckler.

I'd love to see:

  • More Slayer talents
  • A wildshaping Shaman archetype - though this isn't in your original list of ideas! (including all animals/plants/elementals at or close to druid levels)

Brawler! Brawler! Brawler!

... and Swashbuckler deeds.

I'd love to see you blend in some of your lovely shadow play from Shadow Assassin and Shadow Warrior. Perhaps a Shadow (Stygian? Ancestral?) bloodline for the Bloodrager? Some mixing of Shadow Talents into the Slayer? A Shadow Spirit for the Shaman?

I'd love to see your approach to adding a bit of Shadow to a Brawler.

The things that've piqued my interest thus far:

*Expanded Bloodrager Bloodlines (bloodrager versions of the sorcerer bloodlines from places like the APG)
*New Slayer Talents (brand new slayer options)
*Brawler Brutalities (talent-like options a brawler can take in place of some of its class features)

*Skald Sagas (talent-like options a skald can take in place of some of its class features)

*New Swashbuckler Deeds (new deeds a swashbuckler can take in place of her normal deeds)
-This would interest me, but all of my swashbucklers are PFS, so I won't be able to make use of them any time soon.

I really need to get back to my Archetype books to expand them with the ACG classes, and do some things like Shadow Lord archetypes for all classes...

Yeah ya do. :)

I repeat what I said on Snouttome: hunter-companion directed teamwork feats. Existing ones are less than stellar for such combination at the moment. (they should work well for cavalier and his mount as well).

So the big winner was the slayer, and RGG has now released Advanced Options: Slayer Talents & lethalities!

So... what class should be next?

Personally I think Hunter and then Brawler. Both of those classes I think need some more personal things to differentiate them from their parents but I think the Hunter's animal aspects is a closed design space that needs to be reopened, much like the Inquisitor's Judgements.

Hunter... So much things to tweak with: teamwork feats, new animal (or not so animal companions - I already want to see treesinger hunter that replaces animal companion with plant companion, aberrant stalker with aberration companion, and bone hunter with undead companion), new/altered animal aspects or replacements... (Fey aspects? elemental aspects?)

Owen KC Stephens wrote:

Investigator.

Murder by my hot wife, no less.

For humanoid-only shapeshifting, there is the Change Shape talent for the menteur rogue archetype in Ultimate Psionics (not in the D20PFSRD.com or I'd link to it, sorry). It assumes your PC is a psionic elan (race), but I think it'd be balanced as a new slayer talent as long as you included a thematically-suitable talent/feat and/or maybe Disguise ranks as prerequisite(s).

This all the way!

Teamwork feats
Feats that modify Hunter class features (think like Greater aura feats for Paladin)
Maybe a few companions
Alternate companions
More tricks
honestly an explanation of how that Hunter Trick class feature works.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll take a peek if I ever get hold of the book.

Also, my next vote is Skald. The fact there's no real option to have your weapon be your instrument is tragic and must be corrected.

owens slayer book has this as a full talent tree.

Hmmm.... RGG, Hunter, companions. This makes me think.. Dragons.

Yep, the Face Stealer line, which has a series of options to become more powerful and a side-option that makes it more flexible. :D

1) Arcanist
2) Shaman
3) Warpriest

Shaman
Bloodrager
Warpriest
Hunter

Bloodrager!

That one is probably my favorite Talent chain in the PDF, though the ones for Shank and Sanction rival it.

And myself, I'd like to see some more options for the Brawler.

EDIT: And the Bloodrager.

Awesome. I grabbed the PDF yesterday, when I got an e-mail for it, but haven't had a chance to read it yet. I'll go take a peek when I can. And see what my wife thinks.

So you, uh, might wanna hide, since you all die if she likes it.

Let us know if she likes it! I look forward to a well-earned murderinging. :)
