apparently multiple authors makes fiction horror scarier. I assume because the second author can add a killer to the shadows following the first...and each character could be the product of a single author.

Jack Eddington exited the iluminated glass entry of the police station stepping into the narrow space between buildings. It was an un-illuminated stone paved walk that offered two directions, the narrow gap providing a grey sky glow left and right lit by distant city lights while up was a darkness of one unlit towering building pressing against another. He turned left assured by his senses that he was alone. Somewhere ahead he would find a bus stop.

When I was in middle school, as part of a small group activity meant to encourage creativity, we each began a story, then after ten minutes of writing we moved one computer to the left, then repeat until we had written on every story and back to the one we began.
The only scary part was how disjointed and nonsensical the results were. Also, how much amateur psychology was attempted by students based on changes their fellows had made.
