And then, about 5 minutes before I was set to depart for the day, I got pulled into another quickie meeting regarding a new, surprise project. That was decidedly unwelcome. Especially since it made me leave the office a few minutes late.
And that made a second project where it looks like I’ll have bundled lines for HDD. I hate that. The software we use doesn’t handle bundled lines well.
And I still haven’t seen an update on that book I ordered through Amazon. It was already delayed even before AWS went down yesterday. Not really a problem. Just annoying.
It's going to be another LOOOOONNGGG day.
I've got a half-day of work (took PTO this afternoon). It'll be packed with stuff to do, but I've got a lunch and learn at the end.
That lunch and learn could be better than usual, since the company giving it is the same one that just yesterday did some survey work on one of our projects.
Anyway, after work, I'll head home to get a bunch of scout stuff done. I've got to place the order for next week's Court of Honor. This will be for all the rank emblems and merit badges. I'll pick those up on Saturday.
Later in the evening, I'll head over to the LDS church. We're trying to conduct three Eagle Board of Review.
After that, I'll head back home, eat some dinner, and try to relax a bit.
Hey, though! I had a perfect drive to the office this morning! Or, at least, what I call a "perfect drive". Which is where I don't catch a single light. Huzzah!
At the meeting last night, I had four Boards of Review scheduled. And we got through all of those. Then a fifth was added, late in the game, but some other committee members were able to take care of that one. So we got out of there not too reasonably late.
And my son invited his friend to the meeting. This was for a specific requirement necessary to earn his First Class Rank. Of course, the boy didn't tell me until we were on our way to the meeting, otherwise I'd have offered to pick his friend up on the way so his parents wouldn't have to bring him. As is, I did bring him home afterwards.
It was nice of the kid to help my boy out like that. He actually showed great scout spirit.
When we got home, however, my daughter was doing homework she had forgotten about. She still had to get a shower as well. So there was a bit of drama, and a promise to get up earlier than usual this morning to finish up the last bit of homework.
