Speaking of….what the hell am I going to do for dinner tonight?!? I should probably try for something healthy. Problem is, bad for you tends to taste better.

It's very cloudy so far today. Though not as cold as yesterday morning. By about 12 degF.

I should probably try to configure my sprinkler system for the winter. Preferably before we get too cold.

Which reminds me....I was going to buy a thermal sleeve to go over my above ground sprinkler piping. Nearly forgot. Luckily, I'm pretty sure I have time to order it still.

Today I'll probably try to get some Christmas decorating done. Both within and without.

AAAAARRRGGGHHHH!!! I know I had the measurements written down for the thermal sleeve to go over my backflow preventer and the associated piping. I cannot, however, locate the small notepad where I most likely wrote it down.

I can always take new measurements. Still, it's annoying.

It'll be even more annoying when I find that notepad a few months or years from now.

Ah ha! The sun is peaking out. So maybe we will have a bright, sunshiny day again today.

In which case, not only will I possibly put up outside decorations, but I might go over to the Walmart and get some new ones. I think that's where I got my light-up deer, and those are what need replacing.

We'll see, but I doubt it.

It'll certainly be back to business as usual. For a creature of habit such as myself, that's a welcome thing.

Had a mostly decent drive in to work. Some hiccups to start off with, but then I asked the traffic gods for their favor, and they gave it to me. Huzzah!

Now with myself back in the office, and the kids back off to school, we'll have to see how badly the dog misbehaves.

Got a lot done yesterday. Did some mapping. Did some light reading. Some bagging, boarding, and reorganizing of my comics. Went over to Walmart and bought some new Christmas decorations for the front yard. Put up the outside Christmas decorations. Put up the fake tree inside, but didn't decorate it yet. And did several loads of laundry.

Needless to say, by the end of the day I was very run down. Been that way for a while now. I think it's partly due to not sleeping well these days.

And at some point this week I'm thinking of making a visit with my dentist office to get my mouth guard adjusted. My jaw has been bothering me lately.

Just over a week until my daughter turns 11.

I at least slept somewhat better last night. Although I still felt rundown when I went to bed, and again when I got up. I'm beginning to wonder if it's maybe a combination of allergies and winter blahs.

The drive in wasn't too bad. Until I got to the interstate, that is. I saw it was backed up, so I stayed on the feeder road. That also got a bit backed up at the two lights I had to make it through. Once I got around those lights and a few idiots, however, the last bit of the drive was pretty smooth.

In the office, I found the process engineer had added more comments to the P&IDs for one project. This is after I had already added his comments to the drawing markups and transmitted them over to the designer to be picked up.

And we got more comments from the client because the PM is sending things out of sequence. I really dislike this particular client sometimes. And this particular PM.

Hey, though! I got my Amazon delivery a day earlier than expected. What really through me off was I didn't get an email from Amazon saying it would be early. I just happened to go check my order status and saw the updated delivery time.

Today should at least be somewhat busy. Busy is good. It can keep me from thinking too much.

Speaking of that annoying PM.... He tends to work outside the normal routines and overpromise to the client. So they hired another, senior PM to supposedly help ride herd. This new PM was a guy who worked here before. Thing is, I've only seen him in the office a few days. Other than that...nothing.

I slept too poorly and have too much going on at work for it to be anything other than an annoying and tiring day.

I've got a meeting in about an hour and a half with a client who loves to change the design on us suddenly. I'm not looking forward to whatever he has in store for us today.

I've got at least two other projects for which packages are scheduled to go out tomorrow. One of those I was already working on. The other I got pulled into last week when the younger ME was out of the office. And now it seems like they're just running with me.

And there's a third project I think they're trying to drag me into. One that I really don't want to be too involved with.

At the scout meeting last night, I tried to turn in my form for starting as a Merit Badge Counselor. I was told I also needed to fill out a regular adult leader form as well. Even though I'm ALREADY A REGISTERED LEADER WITH THE SCOUTS.

I suppose this means they don't want me as a Merit Badge Counselor.

Hey! At least I had a really good drive in this morning. Caught a few lights, but it was otherwise smooth sailing. And the interstate wasn't insane this morning.

Speaking of insane....yesterday's drive home can best be described as Cuckoo for Coco Puffs. I don't know what people were smoking, but traffic was way worse than usual for that time of day.

Anyway, almost time to make some sort of donut-like substance. Though not really.
