I don't know about underwear lol But you guys are so lucky to have a company be so open about the process and wants every one involved. It really is exciting and I can't wait till everyone can play!

Welp, I am formally requesting that someone at Goblinworks adopts me!

Resume for adoption:

I can cook! I consider myself an amateur chef, and I can cook Northern Mexican (and by extension central American), Northern Italian, Classic French, some Ukrainian, Finnish, and Swedish, as well as Thai, Korean, Japanese, and Canadian (fusion)!

I can clean! That pretty much sums it up, I can do the dishes, laundry, the floors, and even the dreaded bathroom.....come on you know you haven't cleaned your bathroom in months, you need help!

I am a good listener! I can help you story board like no other! All those ideas floating around, just bounce them off of me, if they stick, well you might be looking at gold!

I am a giant warm and fuzzy teddy bear of a man! Yep, for those cold Washington nights, I emit so much heat you won't even have to turn on the furnace, also (For the ladies) I can cuddle like there is no tomorrow!

*makes copies, and hands out to GW staff*

And Rhyn the Prophet stepped forward and declared the first cracks in The Rift and towards the Kingdom of Zog would happen on Moonday the 16th of Sarenith.
A cheer went up from the densely packed crowd on the town green in Thonkeep.
Many of them took hold of their Goblin Runestones. Some would report later that their had been glowing for a moment while the announcement was made.
Watching from a corner of the Greenforest Inn I can tell with authority that the latter is just a myth. But there rather was an unworldly glow on the faces of everyone gathered.
I noticed a barbarian hugging a paladin not far from where I stood. Tempers would flare back up again soon - but this was a moment to cherish.

I recommend getting Evolve, it works and it's free. There's not much to it, turn it on, set up your twitch account, and you should be done.

It really is remarkably easy if you go to twitch and follow their links. I was able to do it without any problem in just a few minutes, although I had to disable Aero when I tested by capturing using Monitor View.

Thanks, both of you. :)

Thod, bless you for your posts. They provide much needed levity and fun around here. Glad to have you aboard!

Oh my god, it's happening! It's really happening!!

These people on the bus are looking at me in a horrified manner as I dance up and down the aisle, but they don't understand!

Dark Archive Goblin Squad Member

Ryan, in the blog you mention the server will be open at select times. Will you be keeping your european members/fans in mind with the opening times so that they have the option to test as well instead of ungodly US times?

Goblinworks Executive Founder

Woohoo!

(and yes, please keep the server running when you head home, so we can break test things when you 'mericans are asleep :) ).

If they're designing a client that'll handle a very low-performance machine, then perhaps that's one reason. Another might be that they're offering Alpha to those who paid for it, thus fulfilling an obligation to them, while that offer wasn't contingent on them providing a certain level of hardware to accept the offer; if they haven't the hardware, everyone'll learn about it *quite* quickly, and changes will occur :-).

This is great news! Thank you!

Hrm.. I am going to have to start testing out my Twitch setup. PS I am using XSplit. Might have to try out some DOTA 2 or 7 Days to Die livestreaming this weekend.

Dak's Twitch Channel

As it has been mentioned if you plan to livestream please remember to archive your videos! In twitch you can do this by going to settings > Channels & Videos > Check Auto Archive my broadcasts.

Maybe it's the flesh dripping off your exposed cheekbones, rather than the dancing.

Open Broadcaster Software is another useful recording and streaming software. It's also free. I had a good experience so far streaming ArcheAge with it.
IIRC it does require a DX 10 GFX Card, though

Just posted information on the Alpha Test - KNEEL BEFORE ZOG!!!!!

Just wanted to ask:

For those of us in Early Enrollment, who have a possibility of getting in the end of alpha, does that time count towards the overall time we have paid to play?

No. Alpha time is not real time.

Where did you see that. I've been searching and can not find the reference.

I just copied that message from somewhere in the settings and then I deleted the account because the site was just too damn overloaded and slow. If I try to create a new account, it says my username is still taken by the deleted account. With such 'excellent' design, I think that if I do end up making a Lat's Play, I'll just have to use YouTube.

Googling the string I pasted into my previous post brought up:

People are going to come out of the wood work to talk about how the graphics suck, the animation sucks, the UI sucks, the design sucks, the customer service sucks, the players are toxic and suck, and how 17 years ago I ran a production system for a card game that didn't work.

You are going to be our defense against those people.

But what if we are those people?

Whoa, posting under ye ole' Keovar account. No PAX, no Aet. Did you have a falling out Keovar? I sure hope not.

I don't know who you are nor why that should concern you. Your oldest post is from just over an hour ago, yet you're referencing something from a couple weeks ago. You're obviously not new and don't appear to be an alias, so I can only guess that you're a sock-puppet. I find that dishonest in most cases, so I'll assume your 'hope' is disingenuous, and that you are probably using your rear as headgear. If you have a better explanation for this familiarity you shouldn't have, let's hear it.

Whoa, no need for said hostility. I suppose it's possible I've been a lurker for quite some time? Or perhaps that's not the case, and we have a "long standing friendship"???

So, what happened a couple of weeks ago? Not a falling out I hope? I can't imagine anyone having any qualms with such an upstanding fellow as yourself. Do tell. Please don't hesitate to satisfy my child-like curiosity. ;D

For the record: I have no idea who that is. But man, what a ridiculously cool name. So, Keovar, you seem to be doing a little dance around my very pointed question... what happened mine old friend?

Yep... George Washington university is infamously litigious. :]

For the record, you can't trademark letters by themselves. Add images or display the letters in a distinctive style and it is possible, but suing over the use of 'GW' on a messageboard... no, never going to happen.

Goblin Squad Member

Congratulations on the milestone. Great achievement.

Looking forward to trying it out around the 16th.

I think, nay, I DEMAND that we should verify that the alpha-invite emailing system is flawless. FLAWLESSS!!!

Is justin.tv the same thing as twitch.tv? If not, I hardly see how this is relevant...

There are plenty of sites to stream from, so don't feel like it's either twitch or no live streams.

Goblin Squad Member

Justin.tv is the non-gaming sister website of Twitch.

If you are having issues with Twitch, try HitBox.tv

I have heard that they are quite good.

Tell that to the former owner of McMunchies Sandwich Bar in Buckinghamshire, UK. Who was sued by a fast food conglomerate (who shall remain nameless!) over the name of her establishment!

It was Qallz. Second time he made up an alt to get past his permanent ban from these boards. I guess the third account wasn't the charm. Feel like I am playing wack-a-mole.

Wouldn't it be so much easier to just lift his perma-ban? ;P

Edit: Oh yes, and as Alexander said, a noble effort. A noble effort indeed.

Nice try, Qallz. Banned!

Qallz now qualifies as a spammer. From here on out, not only will I suspend him, but all his posts will be removed. Don't feed the troll. Don't quote his posts. Eventually, he will get the hint and go away.
