ETA?

What is the ETA of members who bought EE access through the Paizo store instead of goblinworks being able to connect those accounts?

Goblin Squad Member

Also, do we have an ETA for the $35 add on accounts that wish to upgrade and vote in land rush 2?

Goblin Squad Member

I think "before the first Land Rush update on 1 June" is a safe bet. Whether it'll be either an automated or a complete solution, I have no idea, but I'm sure they'll find some way to record everyone's vote before counting the first time, else imagine the screaming.

I am manually pulling all of these orders from the Paizo database with my own hands! It is a bit slow, but I plan to have the spreadsheet in Tayler's grubby hands by tomorrow. Hang in there! You are not forgotten! Sorry for the bumpy ride.

Hmm, upgrade a $35 add-on. I hadn't even thought of that. If this becomes an option, you've got another $65 from me...

If it isn't going to be an option, I would seriously ask GW to reconsider. I know you want EE to be controlled, but I really feel like you could build a lot of hype within the all ready kind of bought in community. I know for a fact that there are quite a few Pax members who would love to play, but can't spend $100. They would be much more willing to play if we could subsidise that with one of our backup $35 accounts.

While I would love to get my 'grubby hands' on the data, turns out Connor will likely be the one handling the entry of the data you are manually pulling. I'll have to be content with doing work on the game. :)

Well, I decided to burn the midnight oil a bit and sent you the spreadsheet, Taylor. So you will have to pass it along to Connor if he is indeed the goblin tasked with getting this data into the system!

Just wanted to pop in and say "Awesome job Goblins!!!" I am glad to see real effort and dedication in getting things up and running. Us here at the UNC appreciate the work you all do, though I am sure we are not alone.

Also, thanks for being as transparent as you can be. It is nice to "be in the loop" a bit for a change. It gets frustrating when we are waiting and don't know why.

love your efforts. Those you help will always be disappointed, there is some minor point they want different! But they do not know how hard it is to get the task done. This is alpha and beta. It did not work when you bought in; The edges were not even realized. ||

Note my reputation is about breaking things. Better to break in Beta an OE! It is not personal. It is to have a better OE!

Since when do you have to earn your stripes? You're the goblin in chief, stripes appear when you tell them to!

Thanks for all the hard work!

What are the chances of PayPal being added as a payment option on goblinworks.com?

Goblin Squad Member

I think this was only in reference to the Kickstarter, but it might still be relevant:

Maybe a bit more on the Paypal thing. Paypal has a requirement that the goods paid for be shipped or the service delivered within a short time window from when the payment is processed. While I know there's lots of counter examples of people offering the same kind of things we are on multi-year timelines, we've got a particular sensitivity because of the volume of business Paizo does with PayPal. We just can't jeopardize that relationship even by proxy. So we're complying with the letter of the terms of PayPal service rather than what appears to be the more "accommodating" industry practice.

Ok, so it looks like once this hits OE they'll be able to comply with the letter of the contract and thus become eligible to add PayPal as a payment method. But, because of the wording, not very likely before.

CEO, Goblinworks

We will be able to comply with PayPal when we begin Early Enrollment, not Open.

Is the possibility of upgrading a $35 Adventurer add-on actually in the works, or just a hope at present?

We do not have a system set up yet for distributing or upgrading Adventurer Add-Ons. It's on the "list of things to do" and hasn't been overlooked.

Will this happen before the land rush is over? We have close to half our membership hoping to upgrade and jump in as part of month 2+ of EE.

CEO, Goblinworks

I can't make any commitments. We have a ton of high-priority to-dos right now that are absolutely critical that must be completed in sequence and in the next several weeks. Handling the Open Enrollment Add-Ons is not a high priority task in that context.

My advice to anyone who wants to be sure they can vote in the Land Rush is to back the project on the Goblinsquad store for Early Enrollment directly. There are about 10 weeks left in the Land Rush though so there's no real time pressure.

Goblin Squad Member

@Ryan Dancey
Why do you keep referring to the add-on accounts as OE?

"You can purchase additional Adventurer Reward Tier packages as Add-Ons. Each package of the Adventurer Reward Tier provides one Pathfinder Online account with all the bonuses and rewards described in the Adventurer Reward Tier. This is the perfect way to give a friend the gift of a Pathfinder Online subscription, along with all the special promotional bonuses and benefits of the Adventurer Reward Tier! Pathfinder Online accounts created with Adventurer Reward Tier add-ons will be invited to play during the last period of Early Enrollment, and will be eligible for Daily Deal items as of the date you increased your pledge by one or more $35 increments, not the date of your first eligibility."

While I understand that Last stage is not a definitive variable, it does make them an EE account.

But that really wasn't the topic of the thread. This was more for the members of my group that bought the 100$ EE package from the Paizo store. When will they be able to link/create a goblinworks account?

Also notice: The 100$ EE account is a horrible package compared to the 35$ add-on account. the 35$ account gets rewards like a kickstarter, aka destiny's twin, etc... The 100$ account, gets a copy of the game and get to play sooner. And alot of those people who have a 35$ account wouldn't mind paying the 65$ to upgrade their mega account to come in month 2 as well.

MOBILIZE THE ART TEAM!

CEO, Goblinworks

I call them Open Enrollment accounts because that's what they are. Open Enrollment will start for them one month earlier than other Open Enrollees. Like, December of 2015.

The Early Enrollment account gets 3 months of game time and guaranteed access to Early Enrollment. That's plenty of value for the money.

Liberty's Edge Goblin Squad Member

Is there an ETA for rearranging your KS add-ons? I would like to convert a couple 3 month subs into Twice-marked of Pharasma for myself and my buddy.

Goblin Squad Member

So their enrollment happens early?

We just went through this with one of our players. They linked their account from Paizo and they were able to upgrade to EE through GW store for $65.

Goblin Squad Member

It might be helpful to visualize the process as Alpha -> Early Enrollment -> Open Enrollment: Adventure Reward Teir (1 month) -> Open Enrollment: Everyone.

CEO, Goblinworks

@Arumvorax - but that wouldn't promote a pendantic and erroneous way of looking at the situation.

@FMS Quietus - the problem is that the $35 add-Ons have no distribution mechanism. You can upgrade a $35 pledge, not a $35 add-on.

Goblin Squad Member

Pax Deacon wrote:

Try thinking of it as an Open Enrollment with a Head Start, if you're getting caught up on the words. I don't think you're going to trap Ryan into letting them vote in the Land Rush...

Goblin Squad Member

The kickstarter did specifically say "last month of early enrollment" and not "open enrollment one month earlier" so it does feel like words are being twisted to not let us vote in the land rush rather to sell more upgrades rather then us twisting words to not pay for the upgrade.

That said if I can pay via PayPal for the upgrade once EE starts and still play in EE I'm fine with not voting.

Goblin Squad Member

We have several of the "open enrollment one month earlier" pledges that would like to up their accounts to full EE once it is available.

This is where I think I got confused. Xeen are these people from Adventure PKG Addons or did they back the kickstarter themselves? IE- They backed in Kickstarter the $35 pledge.

Goblin Squad Member

Could be either. That could be all they pledged or someone else could have picked up the extras.

Goblin Squad Member

Xeen wrote:

I only ask because we had a member today that pledged on the kickstarter for $35. He was able to upgrade his account after first linking it through the Paizo site to Goblin Works. Just putting that out there in case some of your members are in similar situation and could resolve their issue that way. As Dancey pointed out earlier, the addons thing is a separate issue.

I think in our case it is an add on for a members brothers... Thanks for the info though, that should be helpful.

I received an e-mail today with activating a GoblinWorks account. There was no additional information on the e-mail confirmation page other than level of purchase and account name requirements. I did see that I now have the option of an "Apply" button on the Land Rush page now.

Just because the amateur linguist in me likes the fact that they start with vowels in nearly consecutive order (A, E, O, for Alpha, Early, Open) I'm throwing out there to use the missing "I" to call the one-month-early-Open accounts "Initial" making them "initiall Open" accounts and giving a nice smooth progression of A,E,I,O....

Respectfully though... I purchased 2 additional $35 adventurer packs because YOU specifically said to buy them and I could send them to friends to let them upgrade for Early Enrollment.

That's the only reason I bought em... and I don't think I'm the only one.
