Old Buurz likes shiny rings, yup, me do. Me hobbies are brewing me magical brew, healing me friends - for a slight fee of course, 'puffin me greenie, hunting 'ol dark-n-twisty witchy-witches and drinking me mead! So, if me math up to par, me should receive five shiny rings! Yup, me should!
<puts out her wrinkled hand>
C'mon ye lot! Me Goatie waiting for me return!
ah ... but Wood Earth Iron Crystal Ivory and Obsidian are not shiney.
I only count two shiney rings.

All can, however, be polished nicely, including Earth. Shadow's the one I'm having trouble imagining as shiny.

Obsidian is volcanic glass. Here is an image of obsidian crafted into spearheads by some ancient humans. Even though it is a midnight black, it is still shiny.

In the end it will all come down to how many small companies with no real chance of their own settlement opt for joining the established more organised groups with plans in motion and guaranteed support and how many decide to throw their lot in with a bunch of other little companies and see what comes out of it.

I am proud a member of the The Seventh Veil, but if I were not, I'd definitely be interested in joining Keepers of the Circle. I've conversed with many of them and will gladly say they are a great bunch of people (plus they have a female in their core leadership, which I think every settlement should, or at least a gay male).
Though I do hear they owe Old Buurz a ring or two, she hasn't stopped yapping about it...

Both of whom are in a word, fantastic, leaders. I feel privileged every time I get to help contribute to what we hope to build together.
Aww thanks :) And really, all our leaders and members are great to work with and fun as well. We have two online Pathfinder games going on within the guild and it's a blast.

Wxcougar is quickly becoming among my favorite GMs that I have played with over the years. The rest of the group is a lot of fun to play with as well.
Both games are using the Emerald Spire adventure from the Kickstarter (I'm guessing that's where they obtained it).

We tried to spread it out with one in the morning US (or really late night for one overseas member) and afternoon/evening US.
I could possibly have made one of the games at a stretch so not complaining.
It is good to see so many Keepers members getting actively involved in Pathfinder and getting to know each other, even before early enrolment.

Spotted this a few pages back.
If you assume a world where sentience is possible without life the same ethical/alignment discussion could be had about numerous other possibilities, intelligent constructs for example.
If I recall correctly issues regarding the rights of vampires, clay golems, mummies and so forth come up regualrly in Terry Pratchetts books.

I quite enjoy Pratchett's books, but I'm also amused to see the Jimmy Buffet quote :P

I suppose I should poll to see which of his books I should start with.
There are about 40 books now. They tend to have themes.
- witches books (Wyrd Sisters, Carpe Jugulum etc)- nightwatch books (Men at Arms, Fifth Elephant, Guards Guards etc)
- death books (Mort, Reaperman, Soul Music etc)
- Rincewind Books (Color of magic etc)
There are also three English TV Movies based on Hogfather, The Colour of Magic and Going Postal .
