In cases like this where we question the moral "existence" of rights as the belong to non-player entities. In most cases such as this I believe that the River Kingdom Freedoms would apply over all others, and as such should probably apply to any creatures that are "intelligent" enough to warrant caution, as well as applying to property.

In the case of Goblins and their ilk, I imagine in such a setting any reasonable PC would have been raised to think of them like vermin, monsters, or simply best to avoided. In such cases we would be skirting the ethical questions, based on our current objectives.

Travel any road means that if we receive a S&D we are unhappy with, we would be well supported by our organization to slay the offender without fear of repercussions.

As this applies to animals, I would simply bulk them under the category of property, or a "native" resource to be used if they are not properly owned by a settlement.

Non-Aggression to me means thinking before acting. We are free to react to things as we see fit, so long as we aren't working to actively infringe on the right of personal safety, or ownership we will find things much simpler by simply not making enemies.

A Xenophobic group that doesn't want travelers can warn them away. A person's right to live outweighs the right to murder innocent travelers by a lot.

My "knowing" it will cause a fight and still proceeding is an aggressive act. It may be passive aggressive and a bit (bleep)y but it is still an attack. I would expect that these neighbors would know us and our intentions. We will have spoken about their territory and us not crossing into it and vice verse.

Knowing full well that your actions will start a fight doesn't exactly make one 'innocent,' now does it?

That said, I would definitely consider anyone with a murder outsiders on sight policy evil.

That isn't to say that there are not other great groups. But I've intruded on the Keeper's discussions enough to warrant saying something nice.

For my two characters, I would not purposely enter their territory looking for a fight. That to me is an aggressive move. The only reason that I would do so is to attempt to seek friendly terms, perhaps trade if possible. If attacked, I would defend and retreat. It's their right to protect their home.

If they begin to expand and threaten neighbors, that is where the issue begins.

That blows hard Bludd. You should forward the contact information for the relevant members directly to the support staff at Paizo, according to RD's public FB page he personally handled over 200 such cased today, and I'm sure they'll be able to help you guys get your problems sorted out.

So the bug was that the pledge manager tool wasn't correctly passing the details to goblinworks.com account. If you were affected you now simply go back to the pledge manager tool and click on the final stage to "create" the goblinworks account. You then type in your existing goblinworks user and password and it should automatically link them. It should then recognise your pledge and bingo, you can vote :)

While it is true I enjoy some good dwarven brew, I have an interest in a broad range of drinks. So, a fine Snowcaster Eiswein, some Sargavan spiced rum, perhaps a nice Andoran raspberry lambic (not those cheap knock-offs with the nasty syrup added, of course)...getting around to different groups hits my need for diversity. Though looking at that list, it seems I've got an unconscious sweet-tooth at the moment...

I haven't stepped over into the land of Prophecy yet, as it seems at present you might kill any non-clanfolk on sight...Perhaps if I can get an escort at the border, a quid of some fine Shoanti chew I happen to have in my possession could be arranged.

Well, I suppose I should make some time to establish connections with KotC and some other groups. Due to the unique structure of the SBC and Prophecy we won't have proper reps until we are actually in-game.

At this point we aren't necessarily going to kill on sight, it all depends on how we perceive you at the time. An offering of some kind always goes a long way to promoting neutrality.

So you are interested in some of what the Keepers of the Circle do?

The Ring of Crystal is for those who are interested in the arcane. Magical lore, knowledge and research will be carried out in this ring. During times of war and need, these mages will rise and lend magical-muscle, enchant items and help protect those in need.

The Ring of Earth is for those who wish to build the foundation of not only the group but the Settlement. Farming, construction and mining will be amongst the activities in this ring. They provide food, shelter and collect many other items for use.

The Ring of Gold will reach out and welcome allies and friends, and to work out contracts with partners. Not only ambassadors, members of Gold also are the merchants and bankers of the group. They may also travel to other locations and help strengthen ally ties.

The Ring of Light believe in protecting life. They will provide aide and healing wherever they can, and act as a bastion of hope.

The Ring of Iron focus on crafting not only weapons, but mundane items and tools that help improve life in the Settlement. They seek to perfect their craft and can even run their own shops should they wish.

The Ring of Shadow are for those who enjoy stealth, surprise and knowledge. They seek to know everything and to carry out tasks that may not be entirely lawful to provide protection for the whole.

The Ring of Steel is for those who wish to protect life. They are the military arm of the group and will go out and protect those who travel in caravans or who go out to collect.

The Ring of Wood is for those who wish to travel the wilds and seek out new discoveries, to go out and protect those traveling in our area along with Steel, to hunt for food, and act as guides.

This is only a few things the Keepers of the Circle offer. We have something for everyone so long as you respect Life. We uphold non-aggression and freedom, but that does not mean we will not protect those we care about.

Drink, no. Purchase for research purposes, yes please. I don't know enough about Abysium to make mass purchases for production purposes though.

I don't suppose that UNC, lists the Molarity of this Abysium water do they? I'm sure an MSDS, is out of the question.

The Keepers of the Circle are actively recruiting any players interested in the Diplomatic and Merchant roles in PFO. With the numerous goods and services produced by our other Rings, the Ring of Gold merchants will have myriad goods available for trade. You can focus on running your own store, brokering deals between parties, or leading far-ranging caravans (for those that want as much PvP in their mercantile lives as possible). Want to track the buy/sell changes across the entire game? We've got a place for you. Interested in the banking aspects and "running the numbers" to fund current and future settlement/group projects? Yep, we've got that too. Or perhaps you favor voice and pen over coin and sword--we have roles for all diplomatic types ranging from traveling "bards" (of the Celtic variety, spreading news and maintaining far-ranging relations), to consuls living in foreign lands, all the way up to official Ambassadors charged with all relations to a single group and empowered to make binding agreements for the Circle as a whole.

Think swinging a sword and blasting goblins (or fellow PCs) with spells is the only excitement in PFO? Think again...
