Stonelords still have to be Lawful Good.
A paladin can absolutely end up fighting/capturing/killing other people, but they would need to have a good reason to do so. i.e. the people they are fighting are good people serving an evil cause whose personal code of honor does not allow them to back down/change sides/whatever.
So in other words, no, the paladin won't go kill good people just because his king told him to, but can totally go kill otherwise good people who would follow the orders of such a king.
Make sense?

Or could a lawful good paladin. If commanded to by his king or leaders capture or kill good people?
I'll touch this one.
I would posit that in just about every war this world has ever seen there were LG individuals on both sides of the fight.
I don't care how misguided the leaders on either side were, or how terrible their intentions, or those of their nation, they had some idealistic fool in the front ranks.
Let's take the crusades, and consider them in a fantasy environment. I see no contradiction at all, with the idea that at the Siege of Acre that both sides had Paladins in their ranks, and at some point one Paladin slew another. It's not only possible, but in a fantasy setting, I find it to be highly likely.
So, can a king send out a Paladin to kill good people, I'd have to say yes.

Without some good justification a paladin isn't going to just follow the orders of a king to go kill good people. I think you're looking for the anti-paladin.
For what its worth, even evil should have a reason. Like enjoyment, or getting paid, or boredom. The anti-paladin following authority, now that guys a weirdo.

And for a slightly older story, look to the Illiad and the death of Hector.

Eh, following order doesn't necessarily make him lawful if thats what you're getting at. And its more likely that the anti-paladin is following the king's orders only because they're convenient and allow him to get away with doing things like slaughtering the innocent and publicly bathing in their blood.
