Out of curiosity, is anybody here planning on owning or being a member of an adventuring party? We hear lots about settlements and CCs, but not all that much about those lovable murderhobo bands. I get that most people have big aspirations, but I'm kinda wondering about this.
I'm thinking that, since no organization seems likely to exist that will really represent the core values of a Groetus-worshiping druid (at least not at first), Grickin'll just own his own adventuring party--probablya one-man one. I'm thinking "the Mooncalves" for a title.
Odds are most parties will come from new folk and non-forumites, but anybody else dreaming a big smaller?

I am. My guild, if ever I get an official one, will have no more than two parties (10-12 people) in it, period.
I've done big guilds and small, and I prefer the small by quite a large margin.
If I don't get an official guild I'll probably just form a coalition of people I hang out with and kind of network and hang out/help each other. an unofficial type guild setup.
"Unfortunately" If you really want to go far you are going to need to join a settlement to at least train high end skills.
But yes. I will be an adventuring party type person

Groetus is a loner's god almost by definition, so knowing MMO players you'll probably have the biggest church of PCs in PFO!
My primary character, Malaficia, is in a similar position - I've almost designed her as a loner by choice so joining large parties is out. Possibly a 'coven' of like-minded 'witches' (i.e. Druids/Sorcerors and the like until Witch makes the class list), but nothing too formal or restrictive. CN is not really the alignment of ongoing organisations!

I have my friends-and-family Crowdforger Guild pledge - which we did just for the cost savings and not because we want to be a guild. At least during EE, the ten of us will probably be as large as we get. And as my heroes have always been sidekicks, I'm not looking to run a guild anyway. (A tavern, now, that might be fun...)
Still need to settle on something other than the placeholder name.

Instead of an adventuring party as such, I'd expect that myself (and many others) who want to set up this sort of thing would set it up inside our larger group. Whether that means it's a simple, small group who always play together or an officially declared "elite adventuring cadre" with applications and such, could vary depending on the group.

I expect there will be quite a few Chartered Companies that form to specialize in PvE content.

I will be doing my 'adventuring party' much like Shane but I have no one in mind at the moment because it will heavily decide on how they play the game which won't be known until we are in the game.
Most likely what will happen is when I discover a dungeon and start forming a party. I will have a list of players that I enjoy going on dungeon explorations with and I will invite those that are available. Occasionally I will invite an 'unknown' player to join to see if they will fit in to the group I like to form.
In most cases, I imagine the selection of players will be T7V. But I can see inviting some allied players too. Such as TEO members.
Main things I will be looking for are these: I enjoy playing alongside them, they work well with others, they don't zerg.

The Moonberry Goddess Travelling Perfroming Arts Company will bring joy and refinement right to the doorstep of the goblins of the River Kingdoms. Just because you're short and ugly with bad teeth, doesn't mean you don't want to be left out in the cold. Goblins, we understand your frustration, and our humble little group will do what it can to bring that touch of class to your otherwise dull and pointless lives.

For some reason, that made me think of Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show.

Ah...
Moonberry
A subsidiary of the Mooncalves, I see.
And no, I don't care, Grickin will consider you to be the propaganda branch of his order. :D

btw, you don't need to see it or understand exactly how it works - as long as you have postulated the existence and believe, then you can happily have mass.
ps: Is that why they call it the God particle?
I read that too O:
@Lifedragn
Somehow I feel like you will be "hanging out" with Viridian Circle a lot. And not always in the good way...
