Interest Check for an AP

Recruitment

Hello everyone,

I've been GMing and playing on the boards for awhile and I'll probably be starting another game soon. This post is to see if anyone is interested in an AP and which ones they would be interested in. I have most of them in PDF and would be willing to buy any other if I had a good group.

My current game is based on the D0 Hollow's Last Hope module with a good bit of modifications and we have one opening there.

You can check out my Falcons Hollow campaign here to see what my GMing is like.

tl/dr: I'm interested in starting a new campaign, please post here stating which one you are interested in and please write a little bit saying why you like that particular AP.

PS. I'm also looking into getting into another few games as a player.

I would like to play Jade Regent. I've run it once and I found it to be exceptionally well written and entertaining.

Grand Lodge

hello dm:

here is a game that i am playing we just barely started and due to the holidays we have 2 spots open.

as for AP i have all of them up until Reign of Winter (i would like to play it as the story looks very cool)

I wouldn't mind playing in any of the APs... I like most all of them and would love to "live" through one.

I like Jade Regent for the hero's journey to foreign lands, Skull & Shackles for the piratey goodness, Wrath of the Righteous for the high powered Good vs. Evil.

jade regent is good, kingmaker is always popular and of course I wouldn't mind Rise of the Runelords...

Liberty's Edge

I would be interested in any AP, honestly. Just pick one and let me know. If I HAD to choose one, I would say jade regent or reign of winter, as I haven't played those two yet.

@ Algar, We played together in Legacy of Fire. My character is/was Hajar nar Jundi. Post a link to your game and I'll check it out.

Also, as a DM I'm waaay more interested in your posting rate and if you like to engage other players in RP vs anything else. You don't have to concoct elaborate back-stories or massive narratives, just engage people and post frequently.

Another vote for Wrath of the Righteous. I'd enjoy any opportunity to play a character who becomes a truly influential force for good in the world. WotR looks like it's epic enough in scale to encourage that kind of play. Plus it's the only AP (that I'm aware of) that incorporates Mythic Tiers.

i would be interested in almost all of the APs except Rise of the Rune Lords and Kingmaker. I'm playing these table top and trying to stay spoiler free.
*** Warning***
Would be a newbie to the online experiance but would have a high post rate and RP- as I'm looking to explore more of the APs and archetypes.

I would like to play in Kingmaker for the chance to conquer an area and then hold onto it.

Reign of Winter appeals to me as well for the chance to go plane/planet hopping and come face to fact with legendary enemies.

Shattered Star looks interesting as well, even though I have heard and read uneven reviews of it.

I have been in a Runelords game for over five years now and plan to see it to the bitter end. One post a day is not a problem for me.

I played in a Serpent's Skull game that dies when the DM disappeared. It was fun while it lasted and I would try that AP again. Also, I played in a Skull and Shackles game for most of the first adventure. I dropped out when posting slowed down to the point where I was one of only two regular posters in any given week.

I'd enjoy getting a chance to play as well. Obviously more information would be needed for me to make a character of course though lol.

@ Celestial I'm comfortable enough with the system to make any AP a mythic one, some are ofc more mythic friendly than others. I think Reign of Winter is just begging for mythic as would be Shattered Star or Rise of the Runelords imho.

@ Psyonis a 2-3/day post rate is optimal for my games. 1/day is a minimum.

@ Kyle Yeah, I'm just seeing what people would want to play. Although the pbp law of supply and demand pretty much guarantees that whatever I decide I'll attract players. I'd like to attract the right players. IE ones that post frequently and like to engage each other in roleplaying opportunities.

I'd go for Jade Regent, preferably non mythic.

I'd be most interested in Legacy of Fire or Skulls and Shackles. But really, I'll play just about anything, provided it piques my interest. I'm only not interested in Curse of the Crimson Throne, Rise of the Runelords, or Carrion Crown, as I'm in those games now.

Hey there! I am always interested in playing another AP with a consistent DM.

I would be interested in playing any of the following, Shattered Star, Wrath of the Righteous, Jade Regent of Skulls and Shackles, in that order

Why, they are ones that I am not already involved with as a player or a DM. I like the idea of all of them, though my understanding is that the caravan and sailing bits of the last two can bog down an online game. I also won't lie that I would love to have some PFS credits as well!

In general I can post many times per day easily except on the occasions when I am traveling and then it goes down, but that is only something that happens a few times a year and always with notice.

I will keep an eye on this to see where it goes!

Hmm... Mythic RotR could be fun, and I've yet to play that despite my intensely huge desire to play that. Doubt you'd take me on that though considering I'm running that campaign in a non mythic fashion lol. As a fellow GM however on that note, I definitely understand where you're coming from on 'the right players'. If you get the right people, GM'ing can be a blast. Hell, I'm enjoying my the two games I'm running right now because the group actually mixes together and no one seems left out.

Interested in any AP especially WotR or Jade Regent, the only one I'm currently in is Kingmaker.

Hey Niles.

I've been hankering to play a Skull and Shackles game for the pirate open-sea adventure vibe it gives off.

Also Wrath of the Righteous has recently caught my eye.

Mostly though I just want GMs/potential GMs to pick whatever they love best, as my near-primary goal for pbp games has become to see them through to the end, whether I'm GMing or PCing. :)

Grand Lodge

I'm currently in a local Carrion Crown. I would also be interested in any ap as well if you need another player.

Dark Archive

I would vote for Reign of Winter as I have not played it at all and love the idea of going up against organized witches (which is only what I think is gonna happen…). Also like the idea of having to save the world from the encroaching cold.

I am in a number of games now, and enjoy all of them but would love to get into an AP that would progress a little faster than a book a year (or less) 2-3 posts a day will be no problem for me. I am comfortable with any role and enjoy the RP challenge of about any class/race/alignment combo. I have learned to shy away from evil games in general though.

For what it's worth, DM Papa.DRB posted a survey recently (Results included) about which AP people were most interested in. Might give a good idea beyond us all clamoring about which we'd like to do.

Grand Lodge

Hey Hajar,

i am currently playing RoTRL, Serpent Skull, CoTCT (and a bunch of PFS..). So iam game for anything else.

You know my posting rate and reliability...

;)

Gasp! I'm cut to the quick. ;)

I can do 2-3 posts a day no problem.

I have an alt I made for a piratey game, and it fizzled out when the GM vanished after 3 weeks. :( But I liked her. I've been trying to find a Skull and Shackles game that takes Strix. If you end up running one, and are ok with Strix, I'd certainly submit her. :)

Sovereign Court

I'm interested.
I would like Jade regent, Reign of Winter, Rise of the Runelords or any of the other APs as well.

Sovereign Court

Wotr

Mythic Reign of Winter sounds awesome!

Liberty's Edge

Interested in any mythic...

I am game for Mythic, though in that case I would suggest that we do Wrath (look at me saying we as if I am in the game!) that prevents you from having to do too much altering of the AP

I like jade regent. I have heard alot of good things about it. As for post rate I tend to be very aggressive about that. I tend to post at least as many times as the DM.

I do have to say I would like to see the higher levels. I have read so much about them, but have not had a chance to play them. Never seem to get to level 9.

Grand Lodge

Grunts in agreeing with VuVu

I would love to play Reign of Winter for some proper nordic adventuring. I'm fairly neutral on the topic of adding mythic. Entirely up to you.

Other than that I would be interested in Skull and Shackles, Shattered Star, Legacy of Fire and Kingmaker.

Wrath of the Righteous or Skull and Shackles.

okay, doing a quick glance, it seems like Jade Regent, Wrath of the Righteous, Reign of Winter, and Skull and Shackles seem to be the biggest winners.

I think if you do wrath you will get the most applicants most likely and jade regent you will get the least

I'd love to play in a WOTR so I'm kinda hesitant to run it. Also, a RoW game is being recruited for right now so I could potentially steal/lose good applicants from that game so I'm leery there. Finally, I have 0 interest in either Serpents Skull or Skull and Shackles.

Then might I propose heartily Shattered Star?

It is a pretty good AP, my understanding (I also played the first encounter on the forums but then the DM vanished) is that the first chunk has a lot of RP, then there is a dungeon to crawl, and it pretty much bounces around like that. I also really enjoy the entire idea of the pathfinder society as well.

It is also fairly new so you should not have to do much modding at all, unless you decide to go mythic or have more than 4 players

Does anyone know how much spoiler-y info from Rise of the Rune Lords is in Shattered Star, if any? The plots seem linked, but I'm just skimming (if it IS spoiler-y!)

not a lot of spoilers from what I've seen, although shattered star does take place after rise, so there's probably some NPC and lingering plot crossover

i don't think there is much at all, my understanding is the RotRL foreshadows it a bit but that is all

GM Niles wrote:

I can relate to that. :)

Well everyone seems kind of all over the place with this on what they'd rather have and what they seem to want to avoid like the plague lol. I'm honestly down for whatever. I'm looking into the RoW, but it's nice not to put my eggs in one basket. Besides, with my schedule, I'd be able to do another game (considering one that I'm in is going extremely slow because the idea it was built on seems to have fallen apart)

Thanks Vrog and MiniGM!

Grand Lodge

besides the game i am in, i am down for any AP

from what i heard Second darkness, Shattered Star des with significant golarion lore

np. Let me just say that although my vote is for Jade Regent, I am by no means just stuck on it. I'll play anything, including APs that I've played before, as each playthrough is a new experience imho.

currently I am running a Second Darkness and a RotRL

Playing Kingmaker, and Reign of Winter (though this one is massively modified by the DM so my actual knowledge is VERY limited it is also very slow) and playing a by the book carrion crown

Any AP is good.

I went and looked at the RoW recruitment that is in progress. People are proposing such things as dragon templates builds worth 39 points. If the recruitment rules do not change it will not be a game I would like to play and do not thing you will loose potential players to it.
