Is there any way to make a weapon count as / function as, as Monk Weapon?

Title pretty much says it all....is there?

Function as a Monk weapon for what purpose ?

A Sohei can do it for some purposes. "A sohei may use flurry of blows and ki strike with any weapon in which he has weapon training."

Another would be a magic weapon with the Ki Focus ability. "The magic weapon serves as a channel for the wielder's ki, allowing her to use her special ki attacks through the weapon as if they were unarmed attacks."

Exactly what are you trying to do ?

Are you talking about the monk proficiency list? Are you wanting to use a weapon for Flurry of Blows?

Im looking at combining Martial Versatility with Dragon Ferocity

My fallback weapon will be the Sansetsukun, but would be nice to be able to broaden the available weapons.

Unarmed Strike also falls into the Close weapon group, so there's also these weapons:

Close: bayonet, brass knuckles, cestus, dan bong, emei piercer, fighting fan, gauntlet, heavy shield, iron brush, katar, light shield, madu, mere club, punching dagger, rope gauntlet, sap, scizore, spiked armor, spiked gauntlet, spiked shield, tekko-kagi, tonfa, unarmed strike, wooden stake, and wushu dart.

It also falls under Natural Attacks but you can already use Feral Combat Training for that as any race.

Is there a specific weapon you were thinking of?
Does the list Rynjin posted cover your want/need list for the character?

I was looking at getting it onto something like a javelin, but the fact that its in the Close group as well has me thinking.

Brawler Archetype Fighter using Cestus, combined with some Monk for flurries and Dragon Ferocity requirements.

Plowing 1.5x strength wushu darts into people also has its fun factor, but the crit chance and range are just so pooh.

Well, wooden stakes are just about the same as wushu darts for this purpose (slightly large hit dice...but that is a difference of .5 dpr with something that small), but you get the added fun of saying you are a vampire hunter.

I assume your GM is okay with using Martial Versatility on a feat such as Dragon Ferocity? It seems legit to me, but a lot of players seem convinced that the feat must be one that requires the player to choose a weapon rather than one that only works with a weapon. They tend to cite the idea of using Dervish Dance with a bastard sword as being too ridiculous.

I don't know of any way to add a weapon to a weapon group, sadly. But the existing weapon groups provide quite a range of options as it is.

2x str damage quarter staff flurry?

Thread Necromancy! I am curious if anything was ever found for this question. I have a character who would like to combine Ascetic Style and Vicious Stomp; being able to put a fauchard in the monk weapon group would be quite pleasing. Anything (abilities, feats, etc...) added since 2013 that might facilitate this?

No. You can flurry with a Fauchard as Sohei with weapon training in polearms, or with crusader's flurry if you had access to a god with fauchard as a favored weapon, but neither option puts the fauchard in the monk fighter weapon group which is what you need for Ascetic Style.

To use Ascetic Style the weapon must be in the group, not just have the monk quality. If you want reach, The Tri-point Double-Edged Sword works very well. If you want a 18-20 threat range, there is the urumi. Unfortunately, you can't have both.

Also consider archtypes. A monk of the empty hand can make a flurry of blows using an improvised weapon. A zen archer can make a flurry of blows when using a bow but not when using any other weapons.
