I saw only one person younger than me on the first page, interesting.

Goblin Squad Member

@Kirby, there's one sixteen year old that has both of us beat. :'(

Sorry, I didn't see their post over all of the theoretical drinking I could be doing but don't.

And you did so in a way that makes it easy to continue the analysis later without having to recompile the prior data, kudos :)

I am the 28%!!!!

that's what my generation says these days right?

But alas, early posts are out of date. I went from 29 to 30 since my initial posting, which places me in a different age segment.

When enough new posters arrive to warrant an update, I'll change your age status.

I just jumped over into a new category it seems.

Turned 30 11 days ago :)
(ps: don't think i was in the old statistic)

Just wanted to say that seeing the age groups represented here gives me hope for the future and a good statistic against the wife's "You're too old for games" ;)

I went through all the pages and compiled the ages into groups.

Updated this to comprise the Age Changes and my own age added in.

The Median Age falls into the 30-39 Category, Average age is in this category too.

I am 27

If we had about 23 more people, this would be a more accurate representation of the age groups.

Socio-Economically everyone here can afford the game, at least in the short term, and are willing to participate in the crowdforging process.

So, essentially, this game should gear towards a more Adult audience.

I just turned 61 and my mother still waiting for me to grow up. I do believe that I won the battle of dress wearing and game playing. Since this year she sent me a check to spend on the gaming con I go to every year instead of a dress I'll never wear.

29 in August!

Adulthood is childish. Childhood is vital.

33, and longtime lurker but infrequent poster.

42 ftw!

31 here, but I've turned into a lurker for the most part. Can't wait for day one of EE though! :)

Another 12 people, and we have a solid sampling to extrapolate from. Sorry, I enjoy statistics, lol.

54 here. Just think. In about ten years, as our gaming group ages, we will start seeing more and more gaming tables at the active senior retirement centers instead of Bingo and poker and dominoes. :-)

I certainly hope so. When I was 16 I worked as a server in a retirement community in the non-assisted living dining facility. I really think that they just needed stuff to do to keep their minds active and healthy. Going for walks just wasn't cutting it.

I have joked with my gaming buddies for years about how when we retire we will spend all day playing video games and D&D. Of course social security probably won't exist when I am old enough to retire so...

Goblin Squad Member

38 - will be 39 in less than a month

My grandfather refused (doctor's) suggestion about moving to retirement house because of no internet connection and impossibility of taking his collection of computers. He wasn't even a gamer.
