Specifically, a library dedicated to designing games, both video and tabletop. I'm looking towards creating worlds and settings, writing plots, and ensuring the players have fun stuff to do as the subjects of this library. So far, I have or have ordered:
Pathfinder Gamemastery Guide
Pathfinder Ultimate Campaign
Kobold Guide to Worldbuilding
World Building by Ben Bova
Character Development and Storytelling for Games by Lee Sheldon
The Ultimate Guide to Video Game Writing and Design by Flint Dille and John Zuur Platten
Game Design: Theory and Practice by Richard Rouse III
Level Up!: The Guide to Great Video Game Design by Scott Rogers
I am considering ordering:
Game Feel: A Game Designer's Guide to Virtual Sensation by Steve SwinkEighth Day Genesis: A Worldbuilding Codex for Writers and Creatives
If anyone knows of other books covering the subjects I'm looking for, I would greatly appreciate it. Also, I'm thinking of enriching a worldbuilding part with something that is a general overview of subculture, and with something on mythological creatures. Any advice on that would help a lot.
