Exmaple of Play, Edward must place card at bottom of character deck

Pathfinder Adventure Card Game General Discussion

Hello,

In the example of play on page 20 it states:

"Before he fights the Bandit, Edward must choose a card from his hand to place at the bottom of his character deck"

Could you please tell me what rule it is that is requiring Edward to choose a card from his hand to place at the bottom of his character deck, I dont understand why he is doing it.

Thank you

He is recharging a card - which is an instruction on the Bandit, to recharge a card before the fight.

The bandit henchman has that text on his card, it's a special power for being a bandit. So when you encounter a bandit in a location, you read its card and that's the action you take before fighting.

Thank you very much

It doesn't matter what you call it, Recharging or otherwise, but the 'rule' you are looking for is:

Quote:

THE GOLDEN RULE

If a card and this rulebook are ever in conflict, the card should be considered correct. If cards conflict with one another, then Adventure Path
cards overrule adventures, adventures overrule scenarios, scenarios overrule locations, locations overrule characters, and characters overrule
other card types. Despite this hierarchy, if one card tells that you cannot do something and another card tells you that you can, comply with
the card that tells you that you cannot.

It's quite straight forward. You can't fight the Bandit until you do what the card tells you. Unless you evade the Bandit, you have to fight it. It's that simple.
