Did anyone else log in to make a final change to their pledge rewards?

I thought today was the last day, but apparently the final day is not included in the time available.

Goblin Squad Member

I thought I read somewhere, a Ryan Dancey post, that there will be a bit if a delay in shutting down the final day of pledge changing. He also said that there are plans for another Kickstarter, perhaps in the fall.

As fir my own pledge, I changed it a few weeks ago. I realized that including the add-ons I wanted, I would have to add another $150.00 to my original $400.00 pledge. Something I could not do.

Then there was the change that negatively impacted the $300.00 Epic Brew Master pledge. At the time the EBM pledge was the cheapest way to guarantee a spot in the first month of Early Enrollment. When the second KS broke the million dollar mark, that benefit was extended to all pledges made before the million dollar mark. That essentially stripped the EBM of its most significant benefit.

So I restructured my pledge and managed to get all of the add-ons, for both of my characters, and still remain at exactly my original $400.00 pledge.

Goblin Squad Member

I'm able to change my pledges right now, so I think Ryan was correct that the shut-down's delayed.

LOL, yeah if they keep this going I'll probably keep buying stuff every couple months.

Subbing in for Nihimon who takes the bench on week-ends:

A quick note - we saw some comments in the thread about yesterday's blog about folks thinking that the Fulfillment System was opening to non-Kickstarter backers at the first of July. That's not correct. We're planning on taking the system off line at the end of the month, and then we have to do a bunch of work, and then we can bring it back up with the ability to join in the backing if you were not in the Kickstarter.

The ETA on that next phase has not been set. It will not be the first week of July.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

And we may not even take the system down at the end of June, because we aren't ready to start working on the next phase yet.

I'm more than happy with what I have pledged: EE + extra game time + Twice marked, so I kept my pledge the same. I'm already enjoying browsing my pdfs of the core rules, pvp rules and guide to The Riverlands. :)

I'd love to have had the alpha level and "Monster Cast", but my budget is very modest atm. I hope by the end the time EE comes out, I'll be in a better position.

I get the message "All selections were finalized today.", so I'm guessing they have already taken it down.

Silver Crusade Goblin Squad Member

Can you still select Buddies at a later date?

Goblin Squad Member

I thought I understood this but now I'm not so sure. I and some friends went in for a guild level pledge. We also tallied up what each of us wanted for extras and added that to the total. I can see where I can log in and select my add-ons but when they log in they do not see the option to add theirs. Will we be doing this later? Do I add mine now and leave the balance for then to use later?

Ideas?

Goblin Squad Member

@DemonGrinder

I am pretty sure about this. Only the pledger can buy add ons. He then has to hold them. There is no mechanism to give them to your buddy's yet. It will have to be done at a later date.

"Your pledge level cannot be changed. Pledge level selections were finalized today."

Had that this morning, and have the same right now. Guess it's delayed only for people who don't want to make changes, but if you do want to fix something, too bad.

Mostly the issue is that there was something on my pledge which requires a character and bio submission which I don't want. There are add-ons that I could get for the same, add-ons that don't involve surrendering copyrights.

Shadow Lodge Goblin Squad Member

This is a bit of a derail, but it's related - I bumped my $5 pledge for the PFS boon to a $100 pledge for both the boon and for the Pathfinder Online goodies, because originally during the kickstarter, I wasn't sure if I got the boon with the other pledges (and it was never made clear as far as I could see). At some point it was revealed it was included, and I upgraded the pledge accordingly.

So in a nutshell, if I had to choose between that boon and Pathfinder Online, I wanted the boon, but then I found out I could have my cake and eat it too.

There might have been a lot of others thinking along the same lines, and potentially boosting their funding by maybe 10-20x their original amount. That could be incredible for the project.

It's Monday morning and I'm still able to Select Add-Ons.

Perhaps they just froze the pledge levels so they can gauge how many folks they're going to have in the first month of Early Enrollment.

I'd still contact customer.service@paizo.com if you're interested in changing your pledge level. It's hard to believe they'd turn down money because of an arbitrary cut-off date :-).

For the record, I'm seeing these messages:

Quote:

You have made all necessary selections.

All selections were finalized yesterday.
Quote:
Your pledge level cannot be changed. Pledge level selections were finalized yesterday.

I was able to click the Add button on Add-Ons, but I'm not willing to try to finalize payment for anything to see what happens.

Yep, that's where I stopped yesterday when I made my first post in this thread. I'd finalised what I wanted some time back, and I couldn't find anything I wanted to add to test the final piece of this puzzle.

Goblin Squad Member

My buddy wanted to add some addons and didn't get back to me until 11am mountain time. But when I went in to add what he wanted, I found I could only see the addons I have already chosen for myself. There was no option to see the full list. So it would seem that, at least most of, the tool has been shut down already, and we will have to wait for the next phase to freely make more changes.

Goblin Squad Member

Yeah, I actually wanted to get some information about changing my pledge from Pathfinder. I e-mailed them a week or so ago, but never got a response back. Now, the tool's closed, so I'm a little upset, but nothing I can really do about it now, I suppose.

Ryan's told us this is only the closure of *this* tool; another's coming, so you've not missed your chance.

What happens if I haven't designated a buddy account before the system goes down?

Is the account lost or do we get to assign it later, maybe closer to EE?

Goblin Squad Member

There'll be a provision for it; they'll not harm their players so casually. What that provision'll be, we need to wait to learn.

Nothing bad will happen. You can actually save your Buddy Account as long as you want. You could give it to your kid in 10 years, if you really wanted to wait that long.

I wrote to them, and there's been no response. Shouldn't have had to write in the first place, though. I was not after the last day, I was in it.

Goblin Squad Member

You might post something in the Customer Service forum.

Goblin Squad Member

I finalized my purchases on the day before it closed, I waited as long as I could to get my fellow players to tell me what they wanted (and pay up!)so I could add it to the Guild Pledge Add-Ons, and considering the max available on my credit card. I hope as backers we can ALSO add more when the general tool goes live in the following months.

I didn't even think of that. I was/am focusing on the tabletop stuff. Maybe one of the girls will use my account.

Girls???

Playing an MMO???

That's just an urban legend.

Everyone knows MMO's are only played by guys living in there parents basements cause they have no real lives.

Thanks for hijacking the thread with dumbass sexism, people.

Oh lord, lighten up fella'. It's an established internet meme, and I have no idea why you find it sexist.

Ah, the good old "it's a joke/you're too sensitive" defense.

I have certainly heard it before and I'm as relaxed as can be, but you're hijacking the thread and doing so in a way I oppose, so I'll call you on it. I'd like there to be more women gamers but you're repeating a stereotype that invalidates their participation. That's not okay. Stop using my thread as a forum for your asshattery, thanks.

A couple of things come to mind.

1. You are not a moderator of these boards. Your orders and demands are futile.

2. Shall we go back and point out your out of topic posts? Posts where you made jokes, etc...?

3. I don't see where I repeated any stereo type involving men or women herein.

Feel free to flag my posts, then.

??? I neither made a sexist stereotype comment nor mentioned anything about flags. You have chosen me as a target and I will fight back.

I will not flag your posts as I believe in freedom of speech. Especially, here, on a public forum. I will leave that to the moderators.

Is your thread derailed enough yet?

I didn't choose you for anything. Your "some grumpy people" comment was part of the "you're being too sensitive" defense that I pointed out. If you don't endorse what was said by Summersnow and Sadurian, why were you jumping in to defend it?

Paizo isn't a government agency, and I doubt you are either.

You're bumping the thread, you know.

@Keovar - I'm unclear what additional information you require beyond "please wait until the Fulfillment System is reactivated to make changes to your Pledge". Can you clarify?

If there will be a time when the tool will be reopened to let me change my pledge and add-ons, the "My Pledge Drives" page does not indicate that. The pledge & add-on selection tool says "All selections were finalized Sun, Jun 30, 2013", but it's been saying that since the morning of the 30th. The 30th was advertised as being the last day, but apparently the 29th was actually the last.

Since it's related to financial matters, I don't want to discuss details of my pledge here on the forums. I wrote to customer service to try and make adjustments, and they have not responded.
