Being new to the Pathfinder (I have one char that is lvl 2) system I am curious to know if I have overlooked something. Could also use some advice on Magic items that don't require a chronicle sheet.

You can consider spending Prestige Points on a couple of wands. Ill Omen is very witchy, and clw never hurts. Get some potions, scrolls, miscellaneous items you can throw like alchemists fire, tanglefoot bags. You'll want to start saving for other stuff down the line, too, though. Cloak of resistance +1, Handy Haversack, perhaps efficient quiver for all your wands, headband of vast intellect. The less you spend on the small stuff early on, the sooner you'll get the good stuff.
The ioun stone you have is probably not available to you, so sell it back at 100% and get something else. Some early chronicle sheets allowed you to but cracked ioun stones for pretty cheap, which were found in Seekers of Secrets, but these have since been disallowed entirely from PFS play (even though Hero Lab still lets you buy them for your PFS character,) only regular ioun stones are available, and you don't have the fame yet for a while to be able to afford one of those.

Yeah, that's why I said probably... can't be bothered to find the thread, but last fall as I was building my 1st PFS character and began posting to these forums asking for advice, I had like 3 or 4 of the cracked ioun stones on and somebody informed me that they were no longer legal for Society play. Sounded pretty convincing at the time, so I've gone with that ever since. Now if somebody has a 4th season chronicle sheet with a cracked stone on it, that would be pretty convincing evidence to the contrary. Or if somebody can find the FAQ where it states they're not legal.
Huh, while digging quite extensively, I can find many threads in the PFS forum discussing the use of cracked stones where many venture captains have chimed in, and nobody has said anything about them not being legal, to the contrary, they often talk about how great and widely used they are. And I can find none that say they're not legal...
Now I'm going to have to track down whoever it was who sent me in the wrong direction. I've been missing out on +1 init/percept/sense motive/diplomacy/bluff for like 6-7 levels now!

Cracked stones are legal. Just look at the additional resources page. You don't need some forum posting.
A 20 int on a witch is probably wise if you don't need to cover charisma skills yourself. I would however get a 14 con if you can bear it. Witches stand within 30 feet of enemies, so they are uncomfortably close to the melee. 5 hp per level instead of 6 hp per level does make a difference.
I've seen monsters come from 3 sides in PFS scenarios, so expecting to be 30 ft from the action, but behind the melee isn't always reasonable.

Only the Advinced ioun stones are illegal for play. The regular and inferior ones are still legal and worth the couple hundred gold they cost.
